We stayed there during mid Mar 2013 in a 2 bedroom apartment. The resort is really nice in terms of room and facilities. You can call for the buggy to take you around the resort, so that was quite convenient. The kids club was fun for the kids - cookie baking, crafts etc, and the baby elephant visit was a good experience. The resort has complimentary bicycles which you can use for a ride. They even provided a walky talky (or was it a phone?) in case we got loss.
We did not try the spa, as it was expensive. There are massage huts, not run by the hotel, on the beach just outside the hotel. We did the 1 hour Thai massage, but it is really nothing to shout about.
However, be prepared that it is far away from everything else. We hired a cab for a full day on one of the days, to bring us to Premium Outlets (which was disappointing), and Phuket Town (Central Mall) (nothing great), and a dinner at Lotus restaurant (nice).
March is not a good season to visit, as it poured heavily every afternoon and there were also flies and mosquitoes everywhere.
