Simon the general manager and his staff are fantastic, the customer service is second to non... the staff go the extra mile to make sure the guests are happy and comfortable.

The resort is a brand new,.... amazing service, The beach breathtaking......the most friendly and wonderful chef i have ever met John... fantastic food .... outstanding......

not the cheapest hotel, but you won't be DISAPOINTED for sure.
Simon and his team really do the Holiday Inn chain proud..... never experienced such a high standard of service, anywhere ...

.

Room Tip: very few rooms have a reasonable 'ocean view'. Maybe only two rooms at the very end near the beach that seem to have a really decent ocean view which is still obstructed by the line of pine trees.

On the positive side, the resort was clean, friendly, had a nice beach, swimming pool area and would be great for both kids and adults. The main restaurant was good and breakfast was excellent. On the down side, service at the Pesto restaurant was abysmal! There were 4 of us that arrived around 8:30pm and the restaurant was about 10% full. The drinks we ordered took, literally 1/2 hour to arrive. I ordered an starter while all 4 of us ordered a main course. After 20 minutes my wife’s main course arrived but no other meals. Ten minutes later my starter arrived and one other main course. Ten minutes after that the two remaining main courses arrived. The restaurant was not busy and there seemed an adequate number of staff in the kitchen area. I would hate to visit the Pesto restaurant when it was busy.

The time we stayed at the resort the beach would be unsuitable for young children who were not fully supervised due to waves and a steep entry into the water. If you wanted to stay on Phuket Island but are put off by the crowds on the main beaches this would be a good alternative.

Room Tip: Some of the more expensive rooms have direct access to a swimming pool from their balcony, although the resort's own swimming pool is good. The beach may be too risky for young kids to be in the water without 1 adult per 1 child.

Dear Ozbee,

Greeting from Phuket Mi Khao beach and thank you very much for taking time to write a review and share overall of your experience in our resort. I am sorry we were not able to meet your expectation in terms of Pesto restaurant service and I have meet with the F&B management team with went through the points your have raised. I completely agree over the period you were in the resort we were overwhelmed with over 450 guests in house and this was just three months after we opened. The team have had a high commitment with training plan in place to improve on the learning points that you had given and I can honestly say if you returned you would see a huge change and improvement. I am very happy that you loved everything else in the resort and agree at times with young kids you have to be careful swimming in the ocean.

We looking forward to welcome you back to our hotel in nearest future and seeing the changes we have made.

Away from the hustle, this is a peaceful, quiet very family oriented beach resort. A full day kids club (read free babysitters), kids pool area, playground, and bouncing castle were in use when we were there. Prices on food and drinks reasonable, and quality great. Fantastic beach. Only downsides: no ATM so bring cash for nearby corner store, no lifeguard on beach (but staff at pool), very slow with drinks when ordering before meals. Not a good venue for those looking for night life, but if you need a beach break and have kids it's the best I've seen!
Ps. They have an excellent nurse on during days and a doctor on call 24 hrs, and arrived in 20 min when we had a bike accident (our fault, not the hotel)

We are so glad that you and your family had a wonderful stay with us and thank you so much on your time to review us in Trip advisor. As parent of two young kids I understand the importance of keeping kids busy with fun and safe activities in the resort and at the same time parents get a chance to have time to themselves and indulge in nice meals, a spa treatment or just chill out by the pool without the kids. We all need this as parents and I think everyone deserves a holiday! On the ATM machine is one of our wish list and I am working to get installed onsite in the coming months. Thank you again for the wonderful comments and maybe see you again over the Christmas / New Year??

The resort is a brand new place which give you possibiltiy to relax in very comfortable, well designed and fresh rooms, to enjoy amazing service in all areas and to take a breath from noises. The beach is a virgin place without hundreds of turist - instead you can enjoy obsering small crabs digging in the sand ;). Coast ss wide and save for everybody (incl. kids), very close to hotel.
It is true that food prices are a little bit to high (specially that resort is far away from other places where you can eat) but I need to admit that I loved food in Pesto restaurant as well as in the main restaurant.
This places is perfect if you want to stop for 3-4 night and forget about the world. You won't find here any disco, tatoo salon or shops.
It is also hard to travel from here - only way is to rent a taxi from hotel which is not the cheapest one.
But hotel itself won't desapoint you for sure!!!

Room Tip: I think that all rooms are nice - probably it is fun to have ground floor room with access to prive swiming pool ;)

I remembered my first Holiday Inn experience in Miami, Florida....and four decades later. I am back again....

Wow, this is an exciting place to stay...Why? Only 3 months old and everything is so fresh!  The wood work in the rooms, the sheets, the towels, the paint, the a/c - all smell like you just walked into a new home!  Really!  Hmmm...After staying in a few different places on Phuket island, this is a hotel you should highly consider on your list.  Sans molds, fresh paint, clean tile, unscuffed, unstained (smile!) furniture...get it while it's fresh!  Rooms are simple with white birch woods, chairs and large patio doors.  Nice large king bed, very firm (you been advised) with soft and firm pillows.

As a Platinum  member, upgraded to Executive suite, sweet.  Bathroom is big! -- with large shower (2 meters by 2 meters! and large glass walls) enough for 10 people!  Got the top floor, which has its advantages - mainly, it's quieter, good view of sunsets and...less bugs.

Hotel did not have a layout map, but it seems that only a very, very few rooms have a reasonable 'ocean view'.  Maybe only two rooms at the very end near the beach that seem to have a really decent ocean view which is still obstructed by the line of pine trees.  However, there is the pool bar and restaurant just below these balconies.  Surely, the ocean breeze is nice for those rooms on the top floors.  The hotel rooms are angled towards the pool area, not directly facing the ocean (45 degrees).

The North wing gets all the sun, and lots of it in Dec/Jan, so the room can be very bright, and the patios hot.  Nice sunset views too from Top floors.  The South wing is shaded (sunshine atthe back) on the patios, so they tend to be darker inside.  If I had a choice, well, the 7000 or 6000 block, top floor. I stayed in the 8000 block which I think is a bit too close to the front entrance and the busy restaurant; Plus, there are exhaust fans that blow 24/7 (even though I was told otherwise.  (Remember sometimes you got to be firm, but not overly emotional).

There are guest rooms on the ground floor which are really cool if you like to walk out on your patio and wade in a connecting pond-pool.  But, there is a wonderful main pool just by the beach.  That pool is great for kids.  It's got a very shallow (0.0 m to 0.5m) area and a deeper end as well for adults around the bar.

The hotel has a beach area with softer white sand in the wooded area just before the ocean.  The beach is a mix of white fine and fairly coarse tan-colored sand, so it will feel a little rough on your feet and in your pants!  Also, the beach has a rather steep incline with a drop off, so it's not so suitable for small children.  Plus, the waves can be strong too, since the beach is not in a cove or bay like the beaches down south of the airport.

The airport is near, about 15 mins by car.  You can see the larger planes flying to and fro in the distance.  Hotel car to/from airport is 700 baht, and just slightly less if you take the 'private' taxi just outside the hotel's main entrance.  Motorbike is 400 baht/day - 2 times more than average, but this hotel is remote.

Be warned that this hotel is very remote.  The nearest village is 1 km, not an easy walk, but the hotel does provide bikes for free rent!  Take the bike in the morning when it's cooler with a book bag to stock up on snacks and beers.  Why? Because this is a hotel on steroid prices too!  In fact, you will play 5-star hotel prices for everything onsite.

So, for families on a budget, it can add up very quickly!  Then again, if you stay using your P- club points, paying an average 750 baht per person for a meal may not seem too bad.  Maybe eating a late buffet breakfast (500 baht) will help the pocket book too!  Hey, I did not pass up the seafood buffet at 1,100 baht/person though (every Tuesday and Saturday). Oh, yes, there is a very, very small privately-owned local store, called TS, that sells cold drinks and snacks, but at double local prices (the hotel charges 4 or 5 times the local prices though! But everyone knows that, right?)

Remember to bring sun lotion and bug spray!  There are small pesky flies in the wooded area just between the pool and the beach, as well as on the ground level rooms, unfortunately.

Luckily, the hotel isn't yet overly bombarded by Chinese or Indians (Russians also) yet, so the noise levels are fairly reasonable for a larger hotel.  However, there is considerable echoing between the buildings - seems like a design problem.  The pool area, however, stays lively all day and into the evenings because of the bar area, and outdoor movies on the lawn....actually kinda cool.

Overall, a very nice hotel just a bit remote. Beach very quite, wonderful blue water, and a great pool.  As a matter of fact, it out beats the big Westin Siray Bay hands-down big time!  I will be back next year to the Holiday Inn....

Room Tip: top floor towards middle of property
