Restaurant business is a fragile mix between logistics, craftsmanship in the kitchen and entertainment. Unfortunately the coffee club does not master that balance at all. It took four people to serve drinks for the three of us. Food was bland except of the bolognese on the kids menu which had gotten more garlic than a whole Korean BBQ place, we had to return it. The table to our right had a kids meal served quite fast. The adults were then waiting for another 45 minutes to get their food. The table on the left was waiting for over 20 minutes to order... There is no organization visible, very one is trying to do a bit of the work, overall simply a disaster.

The ambience and food are nice, but even for Thailand things are slow and disorganized. The customers rather than staff were the "waiters". The place was relatively full at the dinner hour but not packed. Nonetheless, we waited over an hour for several simple menu items. Several different tables went directly up to the cook station to complain about how slow they were. At Anantara one has few choices, and most of them are owned by Anantara as this restaurant is.

A trendy aircon coffeehouse that was clean, well maintained with seats for about 60-70 pax. 5 min pleasant walk from the JW Marriott. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Prompt service. Quality of food is good. Big breakfast (about 290baht) was hearty and enough for two persons: 4 halves of thick and toasted dense white bread with small indiv packs of marmalade n strawberry jam (butter on request), eggs (your choice of scrambled, omelette, sunny side up), sauteed mushrooms, 2 slices bacon and 3 chipolatas. 3-cheese omelette (about 180baht) was flavourful and not overdone, served with 2 slices of toast. Freshly brewed coffee (lattes, cappucinos etc 120baht onwards) was good. The spaghetti cabonara was a good adult size portion, sauce was creamy and not sourish, and had lots of mushrooms. Their Phad Thai was piping hot, not too sweet nor salty, not soggy, not spicy, served with lots of bean sprouts and chopped peanuts and was nicely presented in a banana leaf cone. My kids wanted pancakes for breakfast. TCC served a stack of three 6" pancakes with maple syrup and surprise! - a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. Imagine their delight! TCC looks into a Square, which is surrounded by small retail shops plus a few other eateries. Nice place to hang out at any time of the day.

As an Australian travelling in Asia, it can be a bit challenging finding a decent coffee, not so at The Coffee Club. They take Visa, offer free Wi-Fi, speak good English and offer Westerners a breakfast you would get in most cafes...Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Wrap, Poached Eggs with Fried Potatoes and Chorizo, Spinach & Feta Omelette.
As you can tell, we had breakfast here most mornings as its part of Turtle Village which is next to the Anantara, where we were staying.
My partner is Italian, so when they are pleased with their Macchiato Short, you know that the coffee is good.
