Its a beautiful hotel, new and well maintained.

Service was great! Loved the spread of breakfast every morning. I ate so much every morning. I was there during the low season hence the staff were very attentive and took time everyday to chit chat with us.

The only complaint i have is the location. We had to pay a fair bit to get to Patong everyday cos hubby and I are not beach bums. Other than that, everything is great!

Great Hotel, Amazing Staff
Hotel is under a year old, is on beautiful grounds. The room (deluxe) with one king bed was a really good size. The bed was amazing and the bathroom huge incl a bath and a huge walk in shower. Very private rooms with balconies that you cannot see your neighbour. The grounds are fairly large so you may need to walk a little distance to the pool or other area which is fine by me. The pool is great, could maybe be a little bigger and kids should be told to stay in kids area a little more.
Staff in the hotel is the highlight, beautiful and friendly and very professional and only willing to help with any need you have.
The spa is great also, very very relaxing and best i have had.
This is a great hotel for couples more so than business or solos as the area is very beautiful and not much else going on within the area.
I would not hesitate coming back here, excellent hotel, one of the best i have stayed at

Stylishly designed hotel with major "wow" factors
If you want to go to Phuket and enjoy a resort this one can't be beat, honestly. It is new, clean, stylishly designed, and comfortable. the buffet was amazing and the pool just the same. The sand on the beach was rough and I actually didn't go swimming in the ocean. Just stayed at the resort and turtle village. The only down side is that the place gets crowded especially at breakfast and the number just overwhelms the staf avaliable to serve you. So the advice is to get a head start each day to beat the crowd. in addition, it was only 20 minutes to the airport. Do not stay here if you want to take side trips to Phi Phi or anywhere else on the island as it is about 30 to 40 minutes to Patong.

Lovely hotel, better receptionists needed!
Hotel was about 20mins from airport, we paid 500bahts, limo/taxi wanted to charge us 1000bahts but do not fall for it! Hotel is located in a peaceful and remote spot, so if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to stay in. Phuket Town is about an hour away, and Patong is about 1 hr 20mins away. Phuket town has better shopping for ladies, but Patong has more eateries/bars/massages/people. Of course, one gets harassed more by the hookers, tut -tuts (taxis), and the tailors.

Hotel is lovely, and we were received with the usual welcome drinks and towels. We reserved a villa with sea/garden view, but when we requested for the sea view villa, we were told to pay an additional 1650bahts (estimated) per night, which we felt was unreasonable, for the site we booked the villa on clearly stated that we had an option for either. The receptionist were unable to properly articulate when we requested explanations, so the manager was summoned to assist. The problem was resolved when she told us we could upgrade, but the villas were full, which I thought was a lie, for the receptionists had told us we could "upgrade" if we forked out the additional charges.

In-room dining and buffet breakfast were both good, but nothing spectacular. The best food was to be found in the Sandbox restaurant and Bar, which is located beside the pool and beach. Do try the pork chop with salad, and the coconut shake. They were divine!

We will stay here again, but hopefully with no mix-ups, and in better weather! Hope the review helps!

Excellent hotel, excellent value
Stayed here for 3 nights end of August 2011 with my wife and 2 small children as well as my wife's sister, husband, and their 3 older children. We were unlucky with the weather - it rained most (95%) of the time and the sea was quite rough. Despite this we had a very enjoyable time, Hotel itself is very nciely designed and well maintained. Rooms are of good size and well appointed with comfy bed, large flat screen tv, and modern glass walled bathroom. Restaurants were all very nice and offered good selection of quality Asian and western foods. Staff were all cheerful and attentive. Only negative thing I can say is that sections of the hotel ground floor (by the breakfast room) are made of polished marble - extremely slippery when wet. Despite this, I have no problems giving this hotel my highest ratings especially in relation to the price paid - excellent price/quality ratio.

Best value for money - tolles preis leistungs verhältnis
I was at this hotel for two days in August and I must say the value for money was exceptional!I booked via trivago and paid only 70 euros for the room incl. Breakfast which was worth about 18 euros pp.! The hotel is very new and is on the beautiful mai khao beach!unfortunately it is too dangerous to swim in the ocean during summer because of the strong currents, but the beach is very nice and lonely and offers a beautiful scenery! The hotel is very stylish has nice rooms and is silent! The breakfast buffet was also very good with very nice seating at an artificial pond! I stayed also two nights at the JW marriott on mai khao which cost more and was by far not as nice as the renaissance! Therefore I can really recommend this hotel
For people who like authentic thai food I can also recommend the little bamboo hut restaurants near the beach! They offer very good food to more than fair prices, just english is a bit of a problem ;) Another very good restaurant is 5 minutes away and is led by the former Chef of the jw(also very good food at low prices) the only little negative thing about the renaissance might be the size of the pool which was ok for the low season but I can imagine that it gets crowdy in high season!
I would really recommend this hotel for couples that are looking for privacy and a relaxing time! For people who are just comin for partying it might be a bit far away from patong or phuket town and therefore not the best choice!
