Stayed here in July and can say for certain never again. Having been up since 4 in the morning we didn't arrive at the hotel til 2:30pm and when we did arrive we were told that we couldn't stay in our rooms that night and were moved to another hotel next door which was horrendous we were given no explanation why just that we could one back the next morning and check in we had to use the continentals facilities for everything apart from sleeping there. Because of this inconvenience we were given free safes and Internet during our stay and anything else we want which is pretty stupid as what else would we want in an all inclusive hotel. The staff were friendly enough though and the entertainers tried their hardest to get people involved with the activities. The sunbeds are in desperate need of replacement as most are broken and because it was busy you needed to get down at 9am on the dot to try and get a decent sunbed.the food was very poor and not a great choice I would rather not live off burger and chips for my entire holiday. The rooms were ok with great air con however the beds were very uncomfortable. The walls were paper thing and occasionally you could here the people next door on the toilet (not pleasant). When booking this holiday we were lead to believe it was only 10 minutes walking to the centre of alcudia where we have been before however after walking for 10minutes were were no where near alcudia in fact it was at least 30minutes walking (1.5miles) and in that heat it was too uncomfortable to walk anywhere so ended up getting taxis there and back which were cheap enough. There should be a separate smoking area outside as people were smoking around you not caring about others which I felt was rude especially when you are trying to enjoy an already disappointing holiday. Cleaners rarely changed towels we had a dirty one left for 4days. The toilets next to reception stunk you needed to hold your nose to attempt to enter them the smell was so bad it make you heave(hello air fresher has been invented) the hotel was close to the beach on of its very few plus points.having previously stayed at the delfin vender (it's sister hotel) and them both being rated the same i did expect more for the money we paid. In the future I will defiantly go back to the delfin and not here I recommend others avoid this hotel

Bad Points: This hotel looks like it has not been redecorated since the 1970's - the stair carpets are utterly filthy. To borrow a phrase from the author Anthony Powell, the food here was a tragedy and the wines a farce (we were all-inclusive so little choice but to get on with it). All of the meals are much like school dinners, and the wines truly, truly ghastly.

Our room's aircon didn't work: we reported it on the first day, then consequently lived with an electrician's ladder in our room for the rest of the week, but by the time we left the aircon still wasn't working.

You have to put down separate cash deposits for safe keys, TV remote control etc.

Good points: the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are sizeable, and they are cleaned well, with towels (all of them threadbare) changed daily. The entertainments staff here work like trojans for very little pay, and do an outstanding job despite their being provided with next to no tools by their parent company.

In summary, this hotel is in need of a majot overhaul, a new chef and a new sommelier, but in the final analysis, you get what you pay for . . .

Room Tip: Pick a room that does NOT overlook the pool. all of the entertainment in the evening is poolside, an...

I stayed in this hotel in august 2013 and would never do it again. The food was shockingly awful never had food so bad as you might of guessed I was not impressed with the food served during my stay at this hotel. There was no kids, menu apart from chips every lunch time and every dinner, and then meat in sauces for example the one day they had rabbit in a sauce not rich for my two year old. The salad was either to dry or they mixed it in with a sauce and with being pregnant I had to be careful what I ate. The one day I asked the reception staff if they have a menu that they work by and I was told the its a buffet and you get what you are given. Then on the 21st aug they had chicken out which wasn't cooked so I took a picture and took it to reception and she called the manager who said he would take it off for then 2 seconds later more to come out so my partner went to have one off the fresh lot to find that wasn't cooked it was still pink inside so he took it to reception n they called the manger again and all he could say is that in the UK our regulations are different to in Spain (but pink chicken is pink chicken) for then when I went into dinner on the evening the manager said to me if you want your food black then say we can arrange it for you. Since returning to the UK I have had to contact my gp has to being unwell and not being able to keep foods down, and it turns out I have now contracted bacterial food poisioning as a result of the food served at this hotel.

ive just returned from this hotel we stayed there 8th to the 22nd of august and was not impressed first the food, slop is a word id use no kids menu except chips all meat dishes were in a sauce same as the fish and the salad was dry. wed 21st there served chicken quarters which were still raw inside so we took a photo and complain to the manager to bet old by him that the cooking standards in spain differ to the uk (raw is raw in any country) then on the evening when we went into dinner the manager said to the turkey escalopes if we'd like the cooked black he would sort it out. my daughter is 5 months pregnant has had to endure terrible food and is now on way to doctors with sickness. the drinks which being plenty full and cold were ok except they need to clean nozzles on soda dispenser as black bits kept falling off them hygiene in certain areas needs sorting out. staff very friendly and helpful except manager who likes to hide in office when customers complain and there was a lot. entertainment the poor girls rebecca and megan worked so hard against disgruntled guests they deserve a victoria cross they were so friendly and helpful.all in all the party i travelled with feel let down never again would i go to this hotel.

We have just returned from a week here 5th to 12th Aug 2013. Best holiday we have ever had, perfect for our family. Our five and seven year old boys enjoyed it so much they asked could we go and live there! The staff were very friendly and helpful, everywhere was clean and tidy, we would say you must be very fussy if you didn't like the food and drink. The kids club was fantastic for our ages of children, they loved the mini disco every night.
Just to see what we were missing we went out for a meal one evening, we paid over £80.00 for a meal that was rubbish so didn't bother again.
I would agree that the beds were quite hard, but it didn't stop any of us getting a good nights sleep. We would definitely go there again.

Food = terrible & they didn't cater for all ages etc. I was only able to eat from the snack bar where food was left for hours.

Drinks = juice ok but all drinks from bar were so watered down it was unreal. Partner was drinking the beer all day & night & was neither up nor down. Asked for a magners to be told he had to pay 5 euros.

Rooms = made the rock solid bed (which was 2 singles placed next to each other to make a double) daily if u asked for it to be done & emptied the bin once it was over flowing. Most days we would go back to the room to find the balcony door was left unlocked & cigarette butts in the ash tray which weren't ours. Also on the "dressing table" was a bug which was dead & was there when we first entered the room & also when we left (deliberately left it to see if they actually ever cleaned the room).

Staff = pleasent enough until night time when they want finished. Tell you that the last drinks are served at 12 then proceed to say if you are still sitting outside at the stage at 5 past 12 you will be locked out.

Basically I would never stay here again! Paid for an all inclusive holiday only to eat out at the swan every day & spend our nights there.

Pool was clean enough too until you go down to the deep end at the left hand side where what looked like sick was floating around.

Only time spent at the hotel due to all this was to lie at the side of the pool (usually on a broken sun lounger), to get ready & TRY sleep.

Cleaners were also very un-considerate & liked to drag the beds out from the walls along tiled floors from around 8 in the morning. Not good if you were up all night unable to sleep in their rubbish beds!

Just returned from a week in Hotel Continental with my 11 year old daughter, from day one we felt at home and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The drinks machines are never empty and you never have to queue for anything first time all inc and it was a great start.
We had a family room which was a good size although the balconies are a bit restricted in size.
The décor needs a little re vamp in some places.
Food was a bit samey and I ate veal nearly every night but all in all a good selection because I am a bit fussy ! There is a snack station till six good for kids hotdogs, burgers etc.
Take the bus out to other resorts such as pollensa and port of alcudia they run every 15 minutes for 3 and a half euro for two no need for excursions.
Will return to Alcudia and the continental in the future :)
