Hotel Roc Continental Park

Just returned from a 1 week all inclusive holiday, staff very friendly & helpful, rooms very clean & beds very comfortable. I requested extra pillows & no problem they were delivered with a smile. Pool area clean & pleasant, Plenty of choice of fresh food & more than enough choice of drinks hot cold & alcoholic " very generous measures" It would be better not to expect entertainment as this was terrible!!
We went out and tried other places in the evening and found a good choice locally, lots of choice of bars, shops & restaurants on the doorstep.
The hotel is located very close "say 100 yds" to a great golden beach. Lots of excursions available to book at reception. We went to the market one day on the bus" expect to be squashed on the bus" very good market. Went to the Pirates show that was also very good, What can I say we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
This hotel I would say is not suitable for romantic young couples more family hotel.

staff are very friendly. there are a few down sides, walls are very thin! we arrived at the hotel at 5.30am and just wanted to fall asleep but all we could hear was next door snoring bad, which kept us awake. we were on the 2nd floor and all you can hear all day and night are chairs being pulled about from other rooms, even at 2am. bar closes at 12 and they chuck u out at 12 so you have no where to sit apart from the lobby after 12. you have to pay 50cent deposit for plastic cups for drinks. entertainment was very poor. we ended up going out every night. it said on the main bord by reception there was day time activities all day every day except sat. the first half of the week there was no one about doing any activities. it wasnt untill one bloke complained that entertainers appeared out of no where and started doing some activities and were being watched and marked for it. room was lovely and well cleaned. but recomend going to the swan british pub!! its amazing and the entertainment was amazing! oh and at the hotel they rip u off at bingo too. one family paid over 35 euro for their cards and then the rest of the hotel bought tickets at 5 euro each. the family won line and full house of the only game and all in all won 32 euro!!! didnt even win as much as they paid for the tickets! so they pocket most of the money. so dont recomend to play that!! yet at the swan its cheaper and you win all the money in the kitty.

Room Tip: higher up the better

By sharing your experiences you're helping travellers make better choices and plan their dream trips. Thank you!
We arrived home from this hotel yesterday. Prior to going I was very apprehensive as there were so many bad reviews. My review is based on complete truthfulness, so other holiday guests know what to expect and whether to book or not!!
On arriving the check in was very efficient and quick and everything was so easy to follow like where you ate your main meals and at what times and where the snacks were etc...the self service of wine, beer, and slush puppies was superb. Never any queing.
The hotel is very clean throughout including bedrooms.
The satff are also all so helpful and friendly. I never came across 1 miserable member of staff.
The food served at meals times was good. There was lots of choice every night and different meals served.
Now for the not so good points. The Rooms are dredful. And I mean Dredful. Not only are they tiny but the most uncomfortable beds I have slept in. I could feel the springs coming through the mattress. Its okay people saying you only use your room to sleep in so it does not matter what size they are. Well it does as you want to relax and be comfy on holiday. The t.v.'s are also rubbish.
The hotel does need a revamp. They need new carpets throughout.
The pool area was very slippery and I mean to a dangerous point.Kids were throwing each other in everywhere.A lifeguard enforcing rules and stopping dangerous behaviour should be in place.
The entertainment was awful. Or should I say the lack of it!!!
Overall this hotel is rated as a 3star. It certainly is not worth any more.
We made our holiday a good one and made lots of new friends that got us through our week. I would not return here and would not recommed it.

Room Tip: Do not get a pool view!! You will never sleep. Soooo noisy until midnight. Not good withy oung child...

Just returned from a 2 week family break, hotel met expectation, food ok but did become predictable towards the end, rooms cleaned to a high standard, with plenty of room when occupied by 2 people, could be a squeeze with 4. Balcony was the smallest I have seen. All hotel staff helpful and pleasant & never seemed to stop working. Hotel position perfect close to beach, which was of the highest standard. The big down side was the entertainment, we don't expect stars in your eyes, but kids darts, several quiz nights, lap top DJ, as the main evening event, most repeated in week 2, did encourage us to venture out on an evening, but all in all we had a great holiday in alcudia, a holiday is what you make it

i cannot believe the bad reviews about this hotel,we,a family of 4,2 adults and 2 teenage boys, have just returned from here. on arrival at 11:30pm as the restaurant was closed they had arranged for 4 meals to be saved for us, (great touch). the rooms are perfect for a couple but as we had 2 teenagers we had to have bunk beds next to the double bed, so the space was limited but as we only used the room to sleep it wasnt a problem. the bathroom was large and clean. the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and even cleaned the hair from my brush. the balcony wasnt he biggest but it served a purpose with a table 2 chairs and a maiden for dryng wet clothes.
the staff were superb from housekeeping to restaurant staff (who make you abide by the rules which are clearly stated) to bar staff (hassan is the only name can remember but they were all equally good) to reception who will do all they can to make sure your stay is problem free. the entertainment team work really hard and all the people who join in enjoy the activites seem to enjoy themselves.
the beach truly is 100 mts away from the hotel and what a beach, crystal clear water and clean beach.
Lots of the people who we spoke to were return visitors and we can see why.the food was very good, lots of choice for eveyone, never did i see a queue for meals, the dining room was nice and big, very clean.the pool area was cleaned every morning and througout the day, people were complaining about the small deposit we had to pay for the drink glasses, this was not a problem to us as it made you take your glass back, but you always got a clean glass back.we would definitely go back to this hotel again.

Some people are hard to please. Lovely food, excellent staff, brilliant entertainment. This combined with the location and weather make it a "must go" hotel. Have already booked for next year with my wife and kids. Well done First Choice and Continental Park.
