Broomhill is sensational! The hotel facilities are delightful, the food is truly scumptious and the garden is an enchanted forest.

Unique sculpture gardens with dogs welcome. Great value, at £4.50 per person during our visit. Took us around one and a quarter hours to walk the gardens and appreciate the art. Loved the Carol Peace "silent moments" exhibition - ( wish i could have afforded to buy one or two!! Must win the lottery!). The only detraction is that it was a bit muddy and so walking boots/sturdy shoes a necessity - also not suitable for wheelchairs/or those unsteady on their feet. Food and drink were available and the dining room looked lovely with art aplenty to gaze upon during your meal. If having a meal as well as visiting the gardens i would guess that your visit would be at least 3 hours. Staff were approachable and friendly. Altogether highly recommended.

We had been meaning to visit these gardens for some time and decided one morning we would go that afternoon. My advice is don't leave it to the last minute! We called before visiting & were unfortunately unable to have lunch or afternoon tea as they were fully booked. If you book in advance you can enjoy a 3 course lunch and free entry to the garden for £15. Entry to the garden alone is £4.50.Dogs are allowed in the sculpture garden, but not in the hotel itself.

We parked in the visitors car park which was at the bottom of a short hill, a 5 mins walk up to the hotel. Just before the hotel there is the Broomhill Gallery which at the time of our visit contained an exhibition of paintings, prints and engravings.

Disabled visitors can park closer if dining at hotel, but would not be able to negociate the sculpture garden as there are steps throughout the 10 acre garden.

We spent a very pleasant couple of hours strolling around looking at the various sculptures placed strategically throughout the garden. There was some seating, but not everywhere.

In a separate section of the garden there were sculptures from 10 finalists in the Broomhill Sculpture Prize competition 2012. Don't miss the display at the old tennis court by Mike Roles. Amazing resin urban art sculptures.

Pick a dry day as could be wet under foot. Well worth a visit, whether as a local or tourist. If you have a dog there is seating outside the hotel where you can enjoy an afternoon tea. A water bowl is provided for your 4 legged friend .
