This apartment is outside of the Montefollonico village gate however very conveniently located. The apartment is well appointed with kitchen items, towels, supplies, etc. and does have a washing machine, however no clothes dryer. It also does not have a vacuum cleaner. The stove has an interior propane tank and you have to light it before each use. Because of this we only used the microwave. When we arrived it was unseasonably cool. The apartment was freezing and it took a couple of days to get it to a comfortable temperature. I was sick with seasonal allergies and was shivering. When it was time to depart the owner said we need to pay a rather hefty heating bill. Prior to arriving, we had a mutually agreed upon daily rate that was to include heat. She does not speak English so communicating presented its challenges. I am not sure I would recommend Villa Chiara to other Americans; it may be more appropriate for Europeans and those that speak Italian.
