The hotel was very different from others we had stayed in on this trip.
It was in a fabulous location right at the top of a hill with wonderful views over the city and valley.
It is a very modern hotel built out of granite and wood on several levels. We had a stunning view from our room, but it was very small - just enough room for a bed and desk with drawer space. There was no chair, which was a shame because the only place to sit was on the bed. The bathroom was unique, but not an easy climb in and out of the bath, since there was no separate shower.
The food was excellent and the view from the terrace at night, second to none. It seems to be a hotel more in tune with the younger set.

We stayed one night in this superb hotel. The rooms are very nice with beautiful design and great views. The infinity pool is spectacular and the seating at the restaurant is perfect. But the best thing about this place is the staff. They really go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We travelled with our 1,5 year old son and was worried that this would be a problem since this place is more upscale. But they made us feel so welcome and played with our son all the time, ordering us to stay in our chairs and relax. Every night they made dinner for him early so we could put him to bed and then enjoy a romantic candelit dinner by our selfs. Highly recommend this place!

We stayed a night here, wish it was more. We had one of the suites on the last floor with heavenly views! A jacuzzi bath-tub in the room overlooking the views. The staff and food were also excellent. The hotel had a very warm welcoming feel to it but then that credit also goes to the manager - Siddhath.
The hotel has quite a few stairs for rooms and pool/restaurants so it may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties or young kids.
The pool is small albeit stunning views of the valley and is an infinity.
All in all a great hotel, wifi worked well [ important these days! ]:-)
We would definitely go back there and stay although not a hotel if you like to just walk out and have restaurants/bars as it is in a residential area.

Room Tip: Do pay a bit more for either the penthouse or one of the suites on a higher floor!

We had a wonderful stay at Theva. We got upgraded on arrival to a room with an in-room jacuzzi tub and spectacular view. The service was second to none, there was always a friendly face to answer any question and attend to our every need. The food was delicious and there is certainly enough choice to to satisfy every palate, signature cocktails are a must.
Would definitely recommend this boutique hotel!

Nice and small hotel with a wonderful view and a beautiful pool. We got a free upgrade upon arrival it was a very nice surprise. Rooms are clean and very confortable, good bathroom. We ate dinner and breakfast on the wonderful terrasse, food was very good, mix between international and Sri Lankan. Staffs are amazing and always smiling and ready to help. Thanks a lot for this great stay!
