The Kings Head was recommended by a friend. There is ample, easy parking. The pub itself had a real fire and was friendly. The bar staff and waitress were really helpful and friendly.

The food came out swiftly and was delicious. The menu has a wide choice of food, all of it looking delicious.

Nothing was too much trouble.

An absolutely lovely experience!

A large group of 18 people, including young children celebrating my wife’s birthday. We started off with drinks in the skittles alley (which we reserved) great fun for all. We then had a large long table suitable for all of us in the snug room to the left of the bar. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were all well catered for including food allergies, service was also excellent. Overall excellent birthday celebrations. Would recommend, thank you The King’s Head.

We had booked the skittle evening which was a great success. Surprisingly quiet for Mid December. The service was excellent as they took our drinks and food orders downstairs rather than having to go upstairs all the time which was a great help. Our starters (mainly pigs in blankets), mains, fish & chips, Lamb pies and burgers and deserts (plumb crumbles and cheesecake) were all fine and good value. Simply a fun night out for a group of people and a great hosting venue with plenty of parking.

Dropped in on the off chance of a table early on Saturday evening and was seated straight away. Service was very friendly and the food was excellent. For starters we had prawn cocktail on toast which was surprisingly good. For mains I had chickpea curry and my other half had pan fried hake which was beautifully presented as well as perfectly cooked. We both enjoyed the lemon posset for dessert which was rich but pleasently lemony.
