The food here was so good! I wish I had a bigger stomach! They had authentic Mexican cuisine and international food for pickier eaters. Try everything, you will love it and don't forget to leave room for desert!

“Delicious”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

My Amstar tour to Chichen Itza included a stop at Pueblo Maya and the food was delicious (drinks, including soda, were not included - we had to pay extra for that). After lunch there were hammocks to relax and a large store to walk through selling all sorts of souvenirs and Maya people crafts.

“Super experience!”
Reviewed March 20, 2014 via mobile

Came in on a bus tour - didn't know what to expect and had the best authentic Mexican food ever - buffet style! Tons of flavor, lots of choices, went back for seconds. Entertainment was such a nice treat and really good frozen margaritas on a hot day! The bazaar had authentic, well made and very affordable gifts that were also very unique. No haggling required or necessary.

“Cute restauarnt and shopping right next to Chichen Itza.”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

We stopped here as part of a bus tour to Chichen Itza. The buffet was fun and there was a big variety of Mexican and International food. They were very accommodating as I do not eat meat and there was a lot for me to try. The traditional dancers were a fun addition and the grounds were really nice. We bought some souvenirs in the shop and the pricing was reasonable, I was happy that all the shop people let us browse without bothering us but helped us when we needed them. I liked that the area had all the plants labeled as I didn't know the name of most of them. The washrooms were very clean and there was a hammock area to relax if you wanted to.

“One of the Best Buffet Restaurants Anywhere!”
Reviewed January 23, 2014

Our group stopped here for lunch after touring Chichen Itza. We were very pleasantly surprised by the impressive selection at the buffet, as well as the genuinely gracious hospitality from the owner and the servers. The food was fresh, delicious and expertly executed. They encouraged us to sample everything in small portions, and to return to get mrs of what we really liked. This is good advice; you will want to try everything.
As a bonus, they had local dancers to entertain us. The dining area was impeccably clean, and there were no flies to disturb us. How did they do this? Well, they had plastic bags filled with water hanging from the edges to the awnings at regular intervals. Apparently, the flies get dizzy when their compound eyes catch the reflection from the bags of water.
This place was a very unexpected surprise. It is worth searching out for an amazing lunch.
