Used it for a stopover after flying into Goa. The rooms are fine, good size and well equiped but the "resort" is a bit dowdy and unimpressive, the pool is quite small and it's some way from the beach.
Staff all seemed quite helpful and friendly but I thought it was overpriced for what it offered,

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was spacious and the customer service was second to none. We were unfortunate enough to contract food poisoning on the last day of our holiday, and the hotel manager came to visit us in hospital, provided a taxi free of charge back to the hotel, held our luggage for free, and let us freshen up in our room and have a sleep before we left...all for free! The staff went above and beyond; they even printed out our re-booked flight schedule without charge. The whole experience made a very difficult end to our trip so much easier.

As for the hotel itself, the rooms are truly five star - king size beds, an en-suite and a balcony. The room service was excellent and the range of snacks were reasonably priced.

We would definitely reccommend this hotel - especially if you want a bit of luxury!

After doing a lot of scouting on TripAdvisor we got a decent idea about what to expect from Devasthali. As me and my husband had seen the 'happening' part of Goa(read North Goa) we wanted to explore the peaceful side of Goa.
Liked:
-The place is peaceful, calm...the landscape a bit reminds you of the lush coconut treed Kerala...and the little creek behind too..
-The rooms are very very nicely done. With all the amenities it's got a classy look with Indian hints in the overall setting.
-The place is nicely tucked inside, so it's far away from the 'touristy' tourists as such(which is what made it peaceful too :P)...what you rather see all around are the lush surroundings.
-The restaurant's food is realllyyy goood!! On some nights they also have live music.
-The ambiance is easy going...staff is friendly..
Ahemm ahemm.
-I hated the part where we had to shell out around Rs.350....for the pick and drop from Airport, distance is only 3km!. Din't have an option though.
-This might not be the place for you if you want see North Goa and explore the beaches up North because one ends up travelling a lot..

Room Tip: Rooms facing the creek are nice

Stayed for 3 nights

+ves:
- A very peaceful stay.
- Place surrounded by greenery..Very near Dabolim airport and station
- Staff helps u in case of any issues..
- I asked for a pool facing room and was provided one as soon as it was unoccupied.
- A definite recommendation in case you plan to enjoy a peaceful vacation in South Goa.
- Very near Hollant (OKish) and Bagmolo (Good) beach...

-Ves
- Hard to find initially....
- Breakfast needs improvement. 1st day there was no buffet (but they provided whatever option we chose). 2nd and 3rd day there was buffet but fruits were not fresh, bread was not fresh, eating options were also less (as compared to a 3-star hotel I stayed last time). Expected more

Room Tip: Select rooms at first floor, preferably pool facing

The Worst Hotel Experience I ever had in my life. My advice never ever choose this hotel for your stay as they will ruin your happiness, very unfriendly / unprofessional / rude staff you will come across.

They don't have any choice in B/Fast and if you order from a-la-carte menu the staff simply refuse to serve you, even though you have breakfast in your package. Order for 5 items and they will serve all items separately. We ordered for Juice, toast, sausage, Puri Bhaji eggs and tea, they served toast after 20 minutes without butter and jam, when we reminded them we got that after 10 minutes, then after 10 minutes they come up with only 2 portions of Puri, we had to wait another 15 minutes to get our parathas that too without curd Eggs and sausage came after we finish our breakfast. Tea was never served. I brought this to General Manager of the hotel and he promised us that he will get the tea served in our room but again that was never served.

AC of the rooms are very noisy and every night that goes in sleep mode at 12 midnight, when I complained to the reception on 3rd day I came to know that they have programmed the timer of the AC to go in sleep mode at Midnight.

Toilet Flush of both our rooms were out of order and we had to use bucket to flush after every use. Microwave of the room had cobweb in that.

They had send 5 seater Ecco to pick us from airport when I had confirmed the well in advance that we are 6 members not only on mail but also called them before flying from Mumbai.

If you don't ask for water / newspaper / to clean your room, they will never serve you, for any services you will have to ask them 3-4 times.

Our bedroom was locked from inside by accident and hotel didnt had key of that lock to open the room, we had to wait for 3 hours to get into our room when some of the manager who stays out of the property came from home with the keys (didnt get the logic of keeping rooms spare keys at home)

Overall very bad experience.

Room Tip: Look for some other options rather then staying in this hotel. This hotel is atleast 2 KM away from main road.
