The Chateau de Pommeuse is a stunning B&B.
Full of interesting artifacts and historical objects & paintings, it is a traditionally grandiose Manor, with beautiful gardens to surround it. The rooms are very traditional and cosy and the hosts very welcoming.
Two highlights of our stay that goes above and beyond any place we've been so far:
- the comfort of the bed and room - a huge king sized mattress which was incredibly comfortable (had one of the best night sleeps in a long time!)
-the brunch that was laid out on the table when we woke up. We only got up at noon thinking we had missed breakfast (as is often the case when waking up late) but the hosts kindly left everything out for us when we came down. Furthermore, most of the food was homemade and the products used were from their garden!

We would not hesitate to go back there as a place to relax and re-energise over a week-end.

Enjoying the pleasures of staying in chambers d'hôtes in the French countryside has been our passion for years. It does not get better than this one! The property is grandly historic, the house and grounds are stunning, our room was large and the perfect combination of authentic luxury and modern creature comforts. Meals are scrumptious, generous and beautiful. Our breakfast, on a wintry morning, was charmingly served by candlelight. We especially enjoyed sharing a memorable dinner with the lovely de Langlois family. They so graciously share their very special property with guests.

Stopping here on a Father's Day trip to Normandy was one of our favorite things about the weekend. Beatrice and Michel, (the hosts) served us a late dinner that was homemade and incredible. (Fresh quiche and champagne, anyone?) The grounds resemble something out of a movie, a real chateau in a beautiful village. Moving on to the rooms, they are as elegant and as amazing as the hosts with gorgeous antiques. We will definitely return, but until then, Abiento!

We stayed 8 nights there and overall it was simply perfect!
Beatrice and Michel, the owners, really treated us like kings.
Our rooms were beautifully decorated with everything we needed.
Every morning was a feast - everything was home made:
Apple/orange juices, genuine fresh pastries/cakes from Brittany (madeleines, far Breton), quiche, yogurts, chocolate (even better than Laduree), all sorts of organic jams, ...
Not to mention fresh eggs, Serrano ham, local cheese, fresh baguette and danish, ...
It's been our best B&B so far!

My husband and three year old son just spent the weekend here while sight seeing in the area. It is a lovely manor house set on the grounds of the original chateau. The de Langlois family has owned the property for hundreds of years and their history is very rich and interesting. The guest room we stayed in (Maussion de Cande) was spacious and quiet with modern luxury appointments in the bathroom. The breakfast every day was enormous and of an excellent quality- pastries and homemade breads, quiche, fruit salad, homemade jams, charcuterie and fresh pressed juices. We had a fantastic dinner served to us by the owners complete with a fireside aperitif to start! We hope to return in the spring with friends and spend more time outdoors relaxing. This is a great setting for children too, although there is a pond. This place would make a great venue for a wedding or other family celebration. It is also a close striking distance to many of the sights in the area- Provins, Disneyland, Fountainbleau, Parc de Felins, and La Vallee Village Shopping Center to name a few. We did not manage to find any Wi-fi while staying here but there did seem to be 3G coverage and good phone reception.
