“Absolutely Beautiful!”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

Very picturistic! It's a beautiful falls with a lot of history behind it. The grounds are very beautiful. This was the first time I saw so many koi fishes up close and fed parrots. All persons in our group enjoyed the tour and bathing in the falls after. Its a wonderful place for a family picnic. This place has its own charm and is different from other falls. A must visit. Thank you Mr. Francis for all your assistance!

“Wonderful quiet alternative”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Turtle River Falls. Far less crowded than other attractions with a wide variety of things to do and see. The guides are professional, friendly, and not pushy. Jordan was particulaly good, giving us plenty of time to stop and enjoy the falls, gardens, pool, or aviary. Very fair price for an optional photographic record of your visit. They are still rebuilding so have limited services - but refreshments are available at the office. Bring cash as they do not yet accept credit/debit cards. You`ll also want to budget a tip for your guide. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

“Good family day trip”
Reviewed July 4, 2014

This is a great attraction for a group with mixed fitness levels. It is beautiful so those who just want to stroll and admire the scenery can do so. The more active can climb the waterfalls and bathe in the shallow pools. There are no deep pools for jumping or diving (go to Blue Hole if you want to do that) but that makes it great for small children who will not be intimidated by large volumes of rushing water. The aviary was enchanting with many of our party getting completely carried away by the richly-plumed birds feeding out of their hands. Take the tour and afterwards, go back to the falls on your own and enjoy the river for as long as you want to.

“Never Fails To Amaze”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

This is now my third visit to what is now called Turtle River Falls and Gardens. We first visited when it was called Carinosa Gardens. My wife and I loved the place so much we got married there some twenty years ago when it had changed toThe Enchanted Garden.

It is sad to see that the hotel has now fallen into disrepair but the gardens are still as beautiful as ever. We were greeted by our guide Jordan who took us around the property and let us spend as much time as we wanted to explore the waterfalls. Several of the falls have names such as Brains, Lady Jane and Ooh Falls however my favourite is Aah Falls which are stunning.

After we had seen the falls Jordan showed us the gardens and explained the uses of some of the plants. We visited the koi pond and then the aviary where we had the opportunity to feed a number of different birds by hand.

The Turtle River Falls and Gardens show Jamaica at its best and I would highly recommend it as a place to visit especially as it is such a hidden gem.

“Amazing and Not Crowded”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

This place is as beautiful as the Dunn Falls and there are hardly any people visiting. The large number of water falls and the grounds are gorgeous; we had the place all to ourselves, there were maybe 4 other families visiting. The guides were very good and helpful and made sure that we had a great time (Devon and Courtney were our guides). Bring your swimming suit and climb various falls.
There is an Aviary in the property where the birds will come right to you; kids and adults will have a great time there. Only a few minutes away from the Cruise Terminal.
There is an entrance fee of $20 per person which is worth it and you can spend the whole day or just a few hours there; you will need a minimum of 2.5-3 hours to enjoy the grounds. We contracted and negotiated a rate with a registered JUTA driver before our cruise to take us to this place and then drive us all day around the area ( Winston Aarons his e-mail is winston.taxi@yahoo.com). Winston has a very comfortable air conditioned vehicle and did a fantastic job of taking us though the local areas.
Enjoy your visit to Ocho Rios, we certainly did!
