Stay 2 nights at the cliff edge ocean view villa with my wife and son. It was the last leg of our 7 day holiday in bali. The first 4 days we stayed at Kuta & Ubud. It was pack with activities and our intention is to just chill and relax the last 2 days at Banyan Tree.

From the moment i step into the villa, i can't help but smile at the wonderful ocean view from our villa and how big and luxurious the place is. From the villa infinity pool you can see the resorts private beach and ocean. You will see many pictures of the villa on websites but all the pictures does not do justice to how beautiful the place is. We love every minute of it and even though it been a month my wife and i still reminisce about the wonderful 2 nights we stay at Banyan Tree.

Service was impeccable. All the staff we met are very friendly and genuine, always with a smile. There was once we call for room service and the staff will set your dining table properly and you will feel like you are eating in a restaurant!

We will definitely come back and stay in the villa again.

Tip: if you are deliberating which villa to choose, just go for the cliff edge ocean view villa, you will not regret it!

My wife and I were honeymooning and we were glad we paid Banyan Tree Ungasan a visit. We stayed in a seaview villa and it was simply divine, from the spacious and tastefully decorated villa to the heated pool to the view of the ocean. JuMaNa just has a million dollar view that is simply out of this world. The service provided by the staff, from the reception to the restaurants to the spa, was outstanding and we felt very pampered. Needless to say, we loved the place and would definitely return, perhaps with kids in tow next time.

Just a humble suggestion to make the place even better - I personally felt that some simple electrical work should be done so that when we leave the villa we could simply flip a master switch (ideally situated near the villa door) so as to switch off all the electricity to the villa. This not only saves BT electricity from appliances left running (such as the air conditioning and heated pool) but helps conserve the environment, which is a main draw for Bali. Given the floor area of the villa and the numerous switches for various appliances and lights located throughout the villa, it saves vacationers a lot of trouble trying to figure out how to switch off the various lights and devices when we pop out for meals and such.

We booked two 2-bedroom pool villas. At the villa price, certainly... the villa was beautiful, overseeing the ocean, spacious, luxurious with a jacuzzi and pool within the villa. Such a delight to stay in the villa and not go anywhere! They even had a television by the bath-tub. A dream for Honeymooners certainly. The kids love soaking, playing and watching television in the tub! Swimming in the villa pool was great fun for them too. We just have to watch them as the pool is close to the edge of the villa. Adults, like us, love lazing in the jacuzzi and lounger. Being Banyan Tree, amenities, facilities and service was tip-top. Buggies were available at all times to bring you anywhere within the resort, as the facilities are scattered across the large property area. The main pool was simply delightful and Jumana, though expensive, has a beautiful setting - relax at the loungers and savour life at its fullest. The only disappointments were having ants in our sorbet at Jumana... and we paid an average of S$150/person for the meal... plus Banyan Tree has lost some of their 'original flavour' with this property in clean lines and modern styling. It used to feature tropical, rustic & luxurious style/living in the likes of its first few properties at Phuket, Maldives and Bintan. In short, pay a price for luxury...

Room Tip: Best to stay at the villa with pool and jacuzzi

You'd be hard pressed to find any villa accommodation anywhere else in the world that's The villas are bigger than the average apartment with all the amenities to make you feel like you'd just set up house in paradise. The living room is big enough for a party with kitchen and bar but it's when you step into the bedroom that you truly believe you've hit the jackpot. This is a place where getting out of bed seems like a bad idea - it's just SO divine. But when you realize that an humungous private swimming pool is just a couple of steps from your over-sized king sized bed and it's got a view of the Indian Ocean surrounded by gorgeous tropical gardens, it's worth it. My stay at the Banyan Tree was way too short. If you're looking for privacy, luxury and incredible service, you can't go wrong. Once in the resort, you'll find it hard to leave. What for? The restaurants are great, the villas are amazing and the staff are friendly and courteous. I traveled alone and would stay again in a flash but I couldn't help imagining being there with a lover - bliss.

The welcome ceremony is awesome. We felt so welcome to the resort and uplifted our mood afer the tiring flight. The satff are very warm and friendly. The breath taking view at the arrival hall is simply spectacular.

We have chosen a slightly more expensive option of the two bedroom villa which was perched almost on the edge of the cliff. The bedroom and bathroom were generous in size and, although a totally enclosed airconditioned space, the sliding doors could be opened up to alow the breezes through. The outdoor area included a pool and lounge space and a sun deck adjacent to the plunge pool.

The Service:
From the time we steped out of our Toyota Alphard pre arrange by the resort, we were welcomed by warmness of the Banyan Tree staff as if we were part of their extended family. Smiles and a cheery greeting came from everyone from the managers to the gardeners. They make sure that you are greeted by name which adds that litte bit extra. Nothing was too much trouble to make our stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

This is the kind of resort you simply must stay!!

I stayed in Villa 104, a sea-facing 1-bedroom villa with a nice private lap pool and heated jacuzzi.

The villa is large! There's a sheltered patio for lazing around and dining outside, there're tanning beds and an outdoor shower. With complete privacy, you can relax and enjoy.

The indoor living room is spacious and there is a large indoor dining area (suitable for intimate fine dining). The bathroom is also large and thoughtfully designed. There's a bath tub, indoor shower and outdoor shower.

The bedroom is to-die-for, comfy king-sized bed with nice pillows, with a view of the infinity pool and the sea. It was nice to fall asleep without the aircon and enjoy the sea breeze.

We had dinner at Bumbu, the restaurant at the main pool, which was within walking distance (you can get a buggy to fetch if it's further). There is a seafood grill buffet on Sat with a live traditional Balinese music and dance item. Seafood is v fresh!

I've been to a couple of Banyan Tree resorts (Seychelles, Bangkok Thailand, Bintan Indonesia before this) and found this to be the most beautiful and well designed.

If you are a chronic shopoholic, the only downside is that the resort is not within walking distance to the Kuta/seminyak shopping areas. Other than that, pls enjoy your piece of heaven :)

I and my fiance stayed at Banyan Tree Ungasan on May 2nd. We lived at Room218 which is the best room in the resorts and just next to Ju Ma Na restaurant.
The room is gorgeous. We can see the Indian Ocean directly from my bedroom. The swimming pool in our villa is enough large for me to swim so that I didn't to come to the main pool to swim. In addition, I really enjoy the BASE in our villa.
For service, I think all of their staffs are very polite and helpful. I know the smiles on their faces are from their hearts.
The views of the whole resorts are also fantastic. Their private beach is really secret. I just saw only a few people on this beach. My fiance played so happily on the beach like a child.
In a word, I would like to recommend this resorts to all of my friend. I love Banyan Tree!

Room Tip: Book Room218,219,220etc.
