Dear SpiroMD,

Thanks for your comments. We actually have many advantages at Finns Beach Club – a larger swimming area, 120 meter white sandy beach, larger restaurant area and more reasonably priced.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

After reading about Finns we took our kids and grand kids out there for the day. We arrived after a 45 minute drive from Canggu, checkin was fine after paying our 1,000,000rp for the four of us we were told to head towards the steps for the inculcator. What they don't tell you is that you walk down quite a few stairs with no rails to get to the inculator. Then it goes part way and then you have to walk down many narrow stairs to the beach. On arrival we were told that all the chairs had been booked by people sitting in the restaurant, even though there were no towels or bags on these 16 chairs. We were then guided to beach chairs where we were given 4 beach chairs and after setting up and getting grand kids organised were told the tide would be coming in and we would have to move. We had lunch and drinks which was average and expensive. All staff were good except for one girl who was very abrupt but this place is nothing like what they advertise and I would hate to see other young families head out there and pay the money we did, although entrance fee comes off your food and drink the overall cost was A$200 for a few drinks and average meal. Then the massive climb back up the steps in the heat. While the beach looks great on the photos the water is full,of rocks.

Dear Kazza 13,

Greetings from Finn’s Beach Club - thanks for your constructive feedback and sorry you did not enjoy the day. Is true that the way to go to the beach can be demanding but most guests believe that it is well worth it once they arrive at the beach. Upon departure we give cool towels and allow guests to have a swim in the pool at the cliff top Seletan Resteraunt. Based on your feedback the owner has now implemented a policy where sunbeds cannot be reserved. We have been experiencing a period of high tides with some limitations in the number of sunbeds that can be placed on the beach and more coral rocks washing up than usual. It is a shock to hear that one of our staff was abrupt as we normally only hear praise for the staff.
Please come back again in the dry season and I am sure you will have an improved experience

“Average quality”

Finn's beach club was an experience esp the lift down the cliff. Overall was alright, had better experience else where in Bali. Given the price of the food and drinks, I think get better elsewhere.

Dear dcmocha,

Greetings from Finn’s Beach Club, thanks for your comments regarding your experience when visiting us.
I can assure you that our food and drinks are competitively priced compared to our neighbouring beach clubs and restaurants. The cost of transporting of produce and beverages to a location such as Finns does cost extra monies. Also when considering our menu prices you also need to consider the complimentary facilities we provide eg. Sunbeds, towels, water sports equipment and the inclinator to the beach.

“the place is the idea of heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

we are here right now sitting on the sofa in front of the beach waiting the sun to set while writing this review,,

its amazing experience we had after 4 days staying in bali, this is our last night in bali and its just made it, made the trip.
me and my wife are local tourist, the service is very nice even for us. they treat us nicely, the inclinator(elevator) operator is so nice he offered himself to be a photographer for us.. the manager should be proud to have him as the operator (we forgot his name but we come at 5PM and met him)
the beach and the view is clean and very nice, its just feel like your own private beach, less people and the wave is so calm for you and your children to playing at the beach.
we ordered rendang pizza, nachos, and satay lilit. the winner is satay lilit, and my wife love the nachos. pizza also good.

about the price we think its just normal and so much worth it,

hopefully we can go back here someday.

“Excellent on a calm day, waves can be dangerous though.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

My family, 2 kids 4 and 6, went there on a windy day. The setting was truly beautiful but the wave were quite rough and the beach rocky. The stag did try and make the ocean more safe by handing out life jackets and clearing what rocks they could from the beach. We paid 500000 rupiah which was taken off our food bill. Well worth the money and meals and drinks reasonably priced. Will definitely go again on a calmer day though. The use of the infinity pool in the resort free of charge was also excellent. Strongly recommend!
