I were stay in here for 2D1N with my friends for my friend pre wedding video shooting. Actually i were staying for 5D4N in total at Bali, but for me the best time was when i stayed in Karma Kandara.

We stayed at 4 bed rooms, all of the bed rooms provides wonderful and pleasant ambience for resting.
I found that staffs also polite and friendly, one time my friend lost his small bag which include his wallet and pocket camera inside, he didn't realize and keep playing on the beach, after couple hrs he just realized about it, then we asked staff around there, and fortunately they had found it before and keep it at receptionist.

Beside that the view is really wonderful even i know in Bali there is more beautiful scenery :)
But still it is stunning, the only thing that quite not satisfied me is stairs to get down to the beach ( around 85m), actually u can use lift for get to the beach, but in the morning i want to try the stairs, and the information, they mention there will be resting area some kind of that, but then i couldn't find it.
And i didn't wear shoes which was a bad mistake, since close to the end , there are a lot of small rocks, then i decide to climb use the stairs again .

Dear Andy

It was great to have you with us and we look forward to welcoming you back again in future! I am happy to hear that you were able to be reunited with your personal items in a quick manner as we are continually monitoring the resort.

The steps down to the beach is definitely a workout! 354 steps in total but well worth it, when it is accessible at low tide, for the spectacular views!

Kind Regards

We swapped a week in Jackson Hole for a week in Bali.

Overall, the experience was terrific.

The overall quality of the resort is extremely high and the Nammos restaurant is too. We ate in Di Mare for breakfast which was excellent, was not so impressed for the one dinner we had there.

I had read reports of theft issues. We took that into account and locked up phones in the safe or kept them on us. We had no issues on that front.

The resort really is first rate and we had a great time. It was one of the best ever and I'd be happy to go back again.

There are some negatives. Others should know of these so expectations are set

1. We have a really bad smell in the bathroom. Since the unit was new it was not clear why. Staff dealt with it by huge amounts of peppermint down the drain and we got some Bali candles. It worked for us, and they did offer us another room - but was a worse view. Someone else with a more sensitive nose may not have been so happy

2. The resort is on the very south of the island. Traffic means its 45 mins to Kuta and 2 to Ubud. If you want to see the whole island, then this may not be the best location

3. Nammos is good but expensive ($2-300 for three with drinks) . Finn's next door (one can walk on the beach) is also good and a bit cheaper ($150 of so). Other options are a ways away, although a cab to Kuta is less than $10

4. Resort charges $30 a head to and from the airport each. We rented a car with driver and that cost $210 for three days and the airport shuttle. We used Info Bali Island Car Rental info@baliislandcarrental.com and were very happy. Ask for Iketut Suardika !<ketutncl@yahoo.com>

5.Beach itself is good, but there are no kayaks or anything else to use/rent at Nammos of Finns - except maybe snorkels Its a nice beach but not an activity beach.

All said, I would still go back again though!

Dear Newdiver

Thank you for your feedback and I am glad that our team were able to assist you with your villa at that time which has now been rectified.

As we re-branded from Nammos Kandara to Karma Beach Bali effective from 1st August our Kayaks were away being re-painted at time of your visit and I apologise these were not available for your use during your stay but there is now plenty more to choose from and exciting new changes will be made to Karma Beach over the next few weeks so expect bigger and better things on your next visit!

We had the most beautiful time at Karma Kandara Ungasan. We travelled with our baby who was 3 months old - the villa was just beautiful and it was perfect to have the space and a kitchen and to feel spoilt by the luxury of the villas. The facilities, service, staff and food are all just unbelievable. This resort is in a league of its own. Despite the views and setting, which literally just takes your breath away every time you head to the restaurant or pool area or take the lift down to the beach, there is a very relaxing, calm and non-pretentious vibe to the place. With a little one, we ate at the resort's selection of restaurants for every meal and every experience was great. The food is super fresh and delicious and the cocktails are great.

The resort's spa is the most incredible setting you'll ever see in your life ! Make sure you book in for at least one treatment and ensure you're there well ahead of time to just stare in awe at the ocean below the cliffs.

Our stay was just perfect, we can't wait to return. Lija Wilson

I stayed here with family form the 19th July to the 29th. Our first impressions were simply awe, the villas are elegant and welcoming.
As we began to overcome the jet lag, we became accustomed to outstanding service, excellent helpfulness and very useful facilities. We spent a lot of time at Nammos beach club, where pizzas and a different cocktail every day were the order.(with a resident mixologist there, there were some amazing cocktails.
We took a taxi to ungasan, and to uluwatu temple, both of which i would recommend visiting, ungasan for balian culture and life, and uluwatu for outstanding sea views and culture.
We spent one day at Apollo water sports organized through our concierge at Karma Kandara, where we spent time on Jet skis, Donutting, and under water walking, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed.
However, it is not without its faults. or should i say, fault. The only bad thing about Karma Kandara is definitely the complete change you notice when the resort becomes busy, the service begins to become slow and unenthusiastic and you cannot get a sun bed on the beach.
Tips:
Eating out at least once a day would be a good idea if you don't want to spend a bomb.
Definitely take a trip to the spa when you are here, it is absolutely spectacular

Room Tip: Try not to choose one of the new villas, some of the pools on these villas can be seen from around t...

My daughter got married here. Several dozen friends/relatives stayed in the villas for a few days surrounding the wedding. Aside from the beautiful beach, which is the reason my daughter chose it, there is little to recommend this place. The villas as a whole and each room within the villas are a bit cramped and offer fewer amenities than comparable places. It is overpriced. The restaurant is likewise overpriced and limited in selection. The location is far from anything, with a drive of 30 minutes to get to Jimbaran. The staff (including and/or especially the manager) had not the slightest interest in working out problems that we encountered upon arrival. For example, one villa that we booked online as a 4-bedroom turned out to only have 3 real rooms plus a portion that could be separated with fold-out walls/screens, but with no shower. This might be fine for a family but it wasn't for the 4 couples who did not know each other who were designated to sleep here. The manager's response was, "Didn't someone tell you when you booked that it wasn't really a 4-bedroom?" Of course not. We booked online, and the only info that the online sites have is whatever info the hotel supplies. In another 4-bedroom villa, the downstairs rooms were unusable because of mold and mildew. No help whatsoever from the manager. So we had to make do. I'm a patient guy and never raise my voice over anything, but left with the impression that the manager shouldn't be managing anything, especially not this hotel. The people who were friendly and helpful were the groundskeepers. If they ran the place, I'm certain I would have enjoyed it more. By the way, my daughter's wedding was fantastic down on the beach. Our Bali-based wedding planner told us his company was in a constant struggle with Karma management and basically the wedding turned out great in spite of the hotel. Would I stay here again? No.

Room Tip: The villas that I saw were all different from each other, each with its own quirks. Some have a lar...

what a beautiful and relaxing place to holiday, the villas are perfect. When we arrived we were given the wrong room, but after notifying the staff, the issue was resolved promptly and to everyone's satisfaction. The views are spectacular, the meals are great and staff were very courteous and efficient. This place is away from all the hustle of Kuta and I highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.

I was fortunate enough to have stayed in Karma Kandara for 3 nights. There were 6 of us (traveling with 2 infants) staying in a 3-bedroom luxury pool villa. Everybody was happy - we love our spacious villa, we spent most of the days in the resort only (I wish we could have stayed longer!). The food at Di Mare restaurant was awesome. The view at the main pool & Di Mare restaurant was spectacular! We didn't mind taking line to wait for the tram to go up as we were very busy with our cameras! :)

The only thing minus is that there was less privacy in the private pool (we stayed in villa #45) as people who walked down the front street could see you, and other villas (on the front and left) also had a view to our private pool. Nevertheless, I would still recommend Karma Kandara to those who love quiet place and really want to relax and escape from busy/hectic city.
