“Dont go there”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2012

Service almost non existant and food terrible.
I ordered the banana pancakes for breakfast. After a long wait I was served one pancake with cold sliced banana covered in chocolate sauce, on the side of the plate.
The orange juice was sweet canned and tasted like flat fanta. The coffee was not drinkable.

“most discusting place i have ever seen”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2011

lets just say that Tom who is leasing the property is extremely rude to his neighbors and his co-workers. He actually walked next door to the alaska eaters and told the customers to leave in a very very rude and crude way. He is constantly drunk and plays his music so loud the other restaurants close by find it hard to conduct business. Everyone I know who eats there always gets sick. I can contest to this as well when after eating at their buffett I was sick for 3 days. The kitchen has no hot water so none of the dishes are getting properly sanitized. I would highly suggest to ignore this place, there is seldom any customers there and they have several other nice places to eat like la petite, blue ice, hard kock, tristans, and balik bayan.

“Affordable Seafood Buffet”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2011

Pros
- 25 or more dishes laid out on bamboo tables
- Beach-worthy decor and ambiance
- Not too bad for Php 275
- Fresh shellfish grilled as you order
- Fresh seafood

Cons
- Most fish (fillet) dish vary only by the sauce
- Only a handful meat-dishes

Never had stomach problems and as of 2010, it's the only one offering buffet in the island.

“5 days after eating in that restaurant we are still with diarrhea”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2010

Robert, the owner, aparently is a great guy. He just welcomed me and my girlfriend to enjoy his buffet, and give us for free some meatballs. They tasted beautifully, so we decided to experience his buffet in the evening.

We were a little bit ashamed to see so many dishes and only 3 table full. So after asking Robert, he just told me that some of the dishes he kept for 2 or even 3 days. And the expected just happened: a lot of dishes were uncooked (specially fish and mussles, which were completely raw) and we imagine it was because the fact that he wanted to warm them up again and serve them for next day.

I'm feeling a little bit better but my girlfriend is still taking pills for stomachache.

We recommend to have simply the nice pizzas that CouCou serves just opposite of the street (next to the portuguesse one). They also make beautiful cocktails and have free internet conection.

For the rest, Bantayan is very beautiful and for us even better than Bohol or Boracay.

Cheers!!!
