The hotel is large and at one time (20years ago) would have been a beautiful palace it is still Ok but for the room rate there are much better alternatives. The ground floor contains the reception, bar and one of the restaurants. The mezzanine area contains a very good gym, there is also a good sized pool on the roof. There was a problem checking in, I am not to sure what the problem was but it was resolved within 30 mins so not to bad. The hotel requires a 1000 Baht deposit, that’s cash, which is fairly common in Phuket. Our room was not super clean but fair, the first set of bedsheets although clean had stains on them these were changed after the first night. The whole room was just tired and in need of refurbishment. We had coffee and cake in the attached restaurant and later lunch both where nice and reasonably priced. One of the three bus stations is opposite the hotel giving you access to the airport, Patong and more prices are 50 Baht per person for a air conditioned minibus.
If only time travel was available this is a hotel I would have visited, in the late 1990,s it would have rivalled the best hotels in the world but now falls far far short of the mark, what a pity. More
