“Great value - Awesome experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

Booked this tour on a whim whilst driving through Phuket town. We stumbled upon a travel agency (PhuketSealand) that was open on a Sunday and booked this tour among many that they offered. We'd done some research online earlier in the day and was going to book when we got back to the hotel but this deal was much better. For about 1200 baht we did Phang Nga Bay (James Bond Island) and caves, Muslim fishing village and the Temple with a golden Buddha and fed the monkeys. The tour we saw online was about 1800-200baht and did not include lunch at the village or the Temple. We had lunch at the fishing village. The Bay was awesome and thankfully it wasn't too crowded when we went. Well worth it and PhuketSealand was a great value/option. I'd definately reccomend them.

“A fun packed day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2012

We went on this trip today. You begin the day with a swim in the waterfall where the staff obliging take pics for you. Next up is the whitewater rafting! This is done in stages so you have an easy ride as you get used to the dinghy then it gets progressively more choppy. It doesn't even become that rough though so if you're concerned about this, then you needn't be.

Lunch is provided which was really delicious. You have a seafood soup to start, chicken and/or fresh fish and rice (or omelette if you're veggie) followed by fresh fruit. I had the omelette which was very tasty and my husband had the meat option and he said this was fantastic.

I would highly recommend this excursion if you fancy a bit of action and adventure!

“Fantastic!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

I did this tour in March 2012 & it was absolutely fantastic. The best part of the day was the white water rafting, I would've been more than happy to just do that all day!! I did it with 3 mates & we could not stop laughing the entire time, it was one of the best parts about my trip to Phuket.
We stayed in Patong & it was about a 2 hour trip there, but the bus was comfortable & fairly spacious. When we arrived they offered us drinks & we got free lockers to store our belongings in for the day. They had good bathroom facilities & the lunch they put on was fantastic with several options to choose from.

We did the rafting first & it was such a fun experience. It's something i've always wanted to do & i was not disappointed. We were taken down to a shed where we got life jackets & helmets & had a short safety session. Then you take your shoes off & put them in a big basket before going & getting in your raft. I'd say we were on the river for at least a half an hour, & although it was quite crowded due to all the rafts it was still quite fun as you all splash water at each when you're stopped, & some of the guides from the other boats will grab the back of your life jacket & pretend they're going to pull you in the water =P At the finish line there's cars there to pick you up & return you to camp, where you have about 20 mins to chill out & have another drink.
We did the elephant trek 2nd & that was fun. I wasn't really a fan of it being through the jungle up & down steep muddy tracks but ti was still quite an experience. It was beautiful down by the river, & the colours of the trees are amazing. Once we got back you can buy baskets of bananas & feed your elephant, at one point i had about 4 trunks trying to get the banana out of my hand!!
After the trek we went back to camp for our lunch, & then after lunch went to the waterfall. It was about a 5 minute walk to get up to fall, & then when we got there it was a little crowded. There was a little cliff/hill that people could climb up & jump off & it was fun watching my mates do it. We stayed there for about half an hour then went back to camp to collect our belongings & get taken back to patong. It seemed like such a long day but it was filled with fun & adventure. The staff there were great & so was our guide that accompanied us on the bus trip to/from patong & i would recommend this tour to anyone that was interested.

“Adventure filled day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2012

We booked this tour directly through our resort and was not disappointed. Prompt pick up from our resort - had to change buses and met our guide Don. The journey to the camp was approx 1.5 hours. On the way Don pointed out points of interest, and also outlined our programme for the day - elephant trekking, then a swim at the waterfall, followed by lunch then white water rafting. On arrival at the camp we were offered cool drinks or coffee/tea and banana fritters. Lockers are available for your valuables and clothing. After 20 mins we hopped in the back of a car and were taken to the elephants Jumped on the elephant with our mahout (had a photo taken) and away we went - we sat on the seat on the elephants back but then the mahout jumped off and invited my husband to drive! I couldn't remember the commands for stop, go which weren't needed as we had an obedient elephant. I jumped down from the seat and we were trekking through the jungle on an elephant - just awesome! Our mahout took lots of photos all the way on the trek. Incredible how sure footed these huge animals are in muddy conditions. At the end of the trek we could buy a basket of bananas and feed them. You can also tip your mahout if they have given good service - (we did as he was constantly taking photos). Back into the ute to the main camp then off to the waterfall. The climb to the fall wasn't difficult and our group of about 15 jumped in the water - it was freezing! Swam and laughed till the next group arrived and we were off again back to camp. Enjoyed a 3 course lunch with tom ya, chicken and cashew nut, rice and a veggie dish. Delicious. Made our way to the white water rafting (I was a bit nervous, as I had done it in New Zealand and was terrified!), but this looked to be a little tame. After a safety briefing and being fitted for life jackets and helmets it was time to go. You have 2 guides in the boat, so if you just want to hang on for dear life instead of paddling you can. The only thing I didn't particularly like was the number of boats that went down at one time - there must have been at least 20 - and after each rapid they schooled you up again to wait for all the boats to finish the rapid - then it was off again. The rapids were quite tame - but it was good for first timers Photographers along the way to capture the action. Jumped back in a ute to make the journey back to camp, where you could grab a drink and a shower. Photos of our day were available for purchase, then back on the bus for the journey home. A very well priced and extremely well organised tourist venture. Saw elephants on the way to and from the camp.
