Owner description: Phuket weekend market (locally known as Naka Market), located along Chao Fa West Road just outside Phuket Town not far from Central Festival, is a fascinating jumble of secondhand goods, curios, pirated items, live animals and a large amount of great local food to sample. It really is worth a visit even if you're not planning on buying anything. If you were to ask, "What's for sale here?" The answer would probably be, "How much time do you have?" as the list of goods is endless.

“Awesome Night Markets”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

I love this place. In traffic, the drive from Patong was about an hour, but it was worth it.
I called it the "100baht Markets" as everything seemed to be 100B!! Well, not everything, but it was cheap and about 100B!

The food market inside is amazing. Best you walk up and down a few times to see what you want to eat. But I have to say we found a stall making fish cakes and they were really delicious.
Make up, music, clothes, food; it's all here in one manic, electric and enchanting market experience. Get there early so you have the time to wander because before you know it, the stall-holders will be packing up and you'll be needing to make you're way home!

We went on a Saturday night and I believe they're open from 4-9pm but do check that with the locals.

I can't wait to get back to Phuket to go these markets again :)

“Cheaper than other places.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

This is the place to go if you want to do some shopping. Its a lot cheaper compare to patong & karon. Spend your money here. Do bargain & buy in bulk to get better price. All the souvenirs & fake items that you want is here in one place.

“Walk around Cocktails”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

The people are brilliant, the food is amazing, the shopping is the best of its kind and you can find some good quality (although fake) gear if you look hard enough. And of course to top it off the cheapest cocktails you can walk around with while you shop.

“Excellent fun!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

We went with our two daughters and loved it! Make sure you take plenty of change as there are numerous opportunities to buy buy buy!! It's a great place to get those nick nacks that you always end up getting on holiday. The food is well worth a try - there's a good range and as its so busy nothing sits for long - try the potato crisp kebab! The one thing is that it is very busy so hang onto your children (and valuables!)
