Owner description: Phuket weekend market (locally known as Naka Market), located along Chao Fa West Road just outside Phuket Town not far from Central Festival, is a fascinating jumble of secondhand goods, curios, pirated items, live animals and a large amount of great local food to sample. It really is worth a visit even if you're not planning on buying anything. If you were to ask, "What's for sale here?" The answer would probably be, "How much time do you have?" as the list of goods is endless.

Great sellection but know your prices before you go and compare as I know some things are cheaper in the Patong markets in the back road

“Great place to shop”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

Smaller version of Bangkok weekend market. Prices are cheaper than patong. A mix of local n foreigners. A drawback is the location which is 30 mins by car from patong and taxi fare at 500-700thb

“Phucket Town Night Market”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

An extremely large market with a variety of goods. Enjoyed bartering for a bargain after which, enjoyed a cocktail at the cocktail bar. Well worth a visit. Taxes will take you from the hotel and wait to take you back.

“If you love to shop make this part of your trip!”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

We went on a Sunday night, arrived about 6pm and left at 10pm. Rows and rows of all sorts of things. Some fixed price, some you could barter with. My teenage girls were in 7th heaven with the array of fashionable clothing, makeup, cdS, bags, wallets, jewellery, shoes etc and their mother didnt fare too badly either in the shopping department! It is quite crowded but feels safe enough, made sure i kept a hand on my bag to be sure as could not bear to part with that much needed spending money! food good and interesting too. We definitely would have gone back another night for more but unfortunately the lot of us got sick (not from the market). I got a lovely cotton paisley shirt for 200 baht, the girls got some great stuff for 50 or 100 baht. came home with literally bags and bags of goodies !

Great Markets! Could take hours to go through the entire area, but there are bargains to be had! Better than some of the other markets on offer.
