We visit regularly and always enjoy our stay. The rooms in "S" wing are great for couples, close to the Zen Pool but not too far from the main action. The staff are wonderful and top marks for their customer service. The food is great but a tip is not to go nuts on day 1. Pace yourself and take the time to try the different cuisines. The house wine is fine but if you have some spare $$ near the end of your stay splash out and try a bottle from their wine list. Overall the resort is well maintained, rooms are clean and spacious, tours are well organised and there's always something to do even if the weather isn't the best.

We are seasoned travellers and have never seen a gastro warning letter in any hotel we have visited. We could not have been more vigilant with cleanliness, and judging by other experiences provided on this site over the last year, ours was not unique. Our stay was completely spoiled by both our sons suffering from gastric bugs. We highlighted many of the shortcomings in hygiene in the main restaurant after our first visit to it. The first day we had filthy place mats and cutlery - we actually changed, or did not use items, which we considered below acceptable hygiene levels throughout our stay.

Cleanliness did not improve over the next few days and our boys got very sick. We discussed this with many of the staff including the duty and restaurant managers. We did not see any really effective cleaning taking place during mealtimes, however by the end of our stay (day 5 and 6) we did see some changes, including tables being cleaned between guests usage in the same sitting, although this was not happening in the first few days. I think standards are lax and sub par - we have lived in Asia for 15 years so are not new to the buffet concept or the food or the weather - so not newbies as was implied by staff. We will not be coming to Club Med again.

We had to visit the doctor both in the resort with both our boys, and again upon our return to Singapore with our 6 year old. Our youngest son is still unwell and has lost 2kg (10% of his body weight).

I think the resort needs to seriously review operations and standards.

Nearly Sgd4000 for 6 nights of all inclusive but on 4 days we could not make use of many opprtunities as we were looking after our sick children who obviously could not enjoy themselves either. Dreadful experience; and bear in mind we holiday 4 to 5 times a year so have a lot of experience to relate to.

One saving grace is the GOs (frontline staff). I shall not be recommending this resort to anyone.

No warnings upon arrival but there was a leaflet in the room stating it was around the region. So many people going down with gastro. 3 entrances into food hall yet only one entrance manned with someone offering hand sanitiser. Vomit by the pool which guest had to ask staff to clean up as previously just left with people stepping in prior to jumping into pool. Heard comments from guests that there were children vomiting in the pool area bathroom basins. Child vomited during kids club - kid not removed from group. Child urinated in dinning area with parents doing little to clean up and people walking through. Our child became very ill and had to be admitted to hospital upon arrival back to safe NZ due to severe dehydration and very low sugar levels.
Rooms - curtains stained, grilles moldy, some bathrooms moldy. Grilles in infirmary VERY dirty. Language barrier difficult for treatment in infirmary. For such an international based facility an English speaking nurse would be helpful. Medicines issued to our child were advised by NZ doctors that they would never be given in NZ.

I had a great time with my parents, siblings , wife and children at club med Phuket, we feel relax and enjoy nice food. Love the flowless drink served all days. Also enjoy the walking around and poolside experience. I can also enjoy my workout at gym and children love the pool. Siblings so excited about the great sales and bought a lot.

I have read the other reviews about Club Med Phuket. It is true that the room looked a bit tired but we really only used it for sleeping. The GO Team did a wonderful job. Obed kept my 13 year old son happy and engaged in the Teen Kids Club. Meanwhile, Josie, AJ, Lim and Ryan made my husband and me feel welcome to join in the classes, tournaments and pool activities. I felt like we made friends everywhere we went. We truly had a blast! Emily is new to Club Med Phuket's circus team but she was also very inviting. Sareh in the restaurants greeted us every day and inquired after us. New, Adi and Benz at the bar made fantastic drinks with a smile. I know that I am putting out a lot of names here, but I believe they all deserve special praise and recognition because they work hard to create a fun atmosphere. The beach was dirty, it rained for the first two days, we went in October and people were getting sick everywhere... and yet, we STILL had a fabulous time. We owe it all to the GO Team. If you are heading to Club Med Phuket, my advice would be 1) take antibiotics with you and start them the moment you feel trouble brewing. 2) JOIN IN- take classes, play games and you will have a fantastic time.

The stay was organized by my committee and they selected all offers included. This is really appreciated at any time you can find an option of your entertainment or leisure or fun !. Their GO team is young but professional. There is plenty of activities programmed for all ages and interests, and more than expected!. The location is a privilege compared to lots of hotels around karon. We spent a week at the end of rainy season and it was interesting to discover the country differently than the post card picture. At the end sunny days came and we found a lot of beautiful landscapes. I discover this year club med twice and not yet disappointed by the atmosphere , inspite some renewals on confort necessary. The local residents are so sympathic and never stressed !.

Great place - especially for kids. Love the evening programmes. We saw very little of Phuket itself as club med keeps you entertained and you dont want to leace incase you miss something:-). Food is good. Rooms are big and nice.
