This is a fantastic little beach resort in Thailand, and actually, it is very cheap in comparison to all the big-name resorts for all the value it offers. The breakfast is just right, and the view from breakfast is very peaceful and beautiful, overlooking the beach. The property is fantastic too -- you feel like you're exploring the jungle every time you go to your room. The rooms were wonderful -- we were given a free upgrade to a Jungle View room, which included a Mini Mac that works on the T.V, absolutely stunning decor, as well as a nice little patio -- perfect if you don't want to go to the beach. Also, the location is superb -- it's a short walk from the jungle view rooms right to the beach. You don't even have to leave the property! The beach itself is nothing special, sort of a rip-off that you have to pay for lounge chairs... the hotel should definitely get their own.

The staff there is everything the other reviews rave about. The lady who took us to our room had our names and birth dates memorized by the time we got to the room -- and greeted us by name every time we saw them. This makes the service a lot more personal, and it really makes you feel you're at a smaller hotel, as you would never get that sort of service at a large resort.

All in all, it's the perfect place to stay and relax in Phuket! (Oh, and it's mentioned in 1000 Places to See Before You Die!! We found that out after we stayed there!)

Room Tip: It's worth it to pay for a Jungle View Room if you don't have your own computer, but otherwise there's free WiFi everywhere.

While the room and resort setting are wonderful the resort does not offer the best value for money. The room rate of $252USD a night should entitle you to a latte or cappacino at no extra charge! The breakfast selection is very basic and meals quite limited and pricey although the view is nice. Careful if making an overseas call as the charges are high, if you make a reverse charge phone call the resort charges you anyway!
It does offer a peacful stay with the beach a short walk away, I would not suggest you dont stay here but for a resort that offers better value for money I would suggest the Movenpick over the Marina Phuket resort.

I think there is no point in repeating all the information about the resort. It is really beautiful, quiet place in the busy part of the island and I would definitely go there again. Just one thing- we stayed in a beautiful ocean view villa No D205. The view is fantastic, The problem is that there is a "chimney" or something leading from the restaurant bellow just opposite and it makes quite big noise from early morning till 11PM every day. You will definitely not use sitting on the balcony this hours, if you plan it. In that case, don't choose the number around either. The rest is OK, however the view is not so fantastic:-}} When your door are closed you can hardly hear it.
Excellent resort, excellent staff, enjoy your stay there!

This is a very nice hotel, but in comparing it to other hotels for the same cost, it didn't even come close in value. The service was not above and beyond like other places we have been to. They were very nice and did not necessarily do anything wrong, but it was also not a very warm place with regards to service and staff. Upon arrival, we were given cold towels and a nice welcome drink. We had to wait a few minutes to be taken to our room, but the woman did show us around and explain our amenities. The room was gorgeous and the hotel grounds were very nice. The pool area was very relaxing. Breakfast was served at "on The Rocks" restaurant, which had a great view but the breakfast was definitely lacking in both selection and quality. Of the 5 hotels we stayed at on this trip, this had our least favorite breakfast. The beach is public so we had to pay for chairs and an umbrella - about $6 usd. Not too bad, but maybe the hotel could offer vouchers or something since the rooms are not cheap at all?? The location was great bc we walked out the door to restaurants and bars every night and we even walked to Kata beach for dinner one night. The comPlimentary shuttle to and from the airport was clutch, so thank you for that! They were timely and we found them immediately. All in all, we had a decent stay. If we hadn't experienced such over the top service and accommodations at other hotels, we may have rated this hotel higher. It just didn't measure up in comparison!

When we first arrived at Karon Beach, we were very overwhelmed by the amount of tourist. It was so nice to find that within the midst of the resort we had a quite place to relax and unwind. The resort is huge and had to have housed a lot of visitors but, we rarely ran into anyone else except for during Breakfast. Our Jungle room was beautuifully wonderful. From the Tub in the middle of the bathroom and the wood floors to the high woodlined recessed ceiling. Very nice. Althoug, there isn't much privacy in the toilet, due to it being inclosed by a shower door, verses being in a seprate room. It could also be a bit of a walk to your room, depending on the room you end up getting. This could only be a problem if you have trouble walking distances or have blistered or rubbed raw feet from walking all over Thailand. The location is pretty good and the beach is nice. We didn't like that you had to pay by the day to use the chairs on the beach though. You would think for the cost of the room a chair on the beach would be included. I'm not sure the chairs even belonged to the resort. The resort does supply you with a bag full of towels to be used at the pool or the beach. To sum it up. The Resort was wonderful and if you like Karon Beach, I would suggest this resort.

Room Tip: If you do not want to walk very far to your room, be sure to ask for a room close to the lobby. Otherwise it is quite a jaunt to some of the rooms.
