This hotel is very comfortable, beautiful and with nice staff. Some things could be better prepared the staff for the care of some things unforeseen. The breakfast is great, I can compare as almost a lunch.

My family and I stayed here during the September school holidays. We booked our accommodation on Hotel.com, 2 rooms at a 55% discounted rate. The full rate was significantly cheaper than the other hotels we had stayed in the area, so we were anxious that the facilities and standard of service would be low, this was not the case. We booked two rooms, one for my wife and I and the other for the children.
We arrived quite early to Phuket as the flight from Australia left late at night, this got us to the hotel around 9:30am. We had not advised the hotel of our arrival time so expected from previous experience to not get access to our room until the 2pm check inn time, this was not the case, upon arrival, we were advised our rooms would be made up straight away and adjoining rooms with interconnecting door arranged.
The rooms were clean and well kept, bed comfortable and flat screen TV. Regular maintenance appeared a priority of the staff.
The room rate included breakfast daily, this was smorgasbord style with plenty of options to put on some Kg's. The staff were constantly refilling tea and coffee without prompting, in general the staff can not do enough for you.
The wifi is pricey, we chose to 3G data sims from the Blue mart (250mts up road), this was about a quarter of the cost and allowed you to take phone or iPad with you anywhere (came in handy for directions and trip advisor searches for restaurants and things to do).
Towels were provided to the room by the hotel for both pool and bath, these were changed daily and room cleaned well.
The only negative was the zircon in our room got a bit noisy at night, we found after a few days though that if left on all day no required at night.

This was my first time to Phuket and stayed at the Front Village for 7 nights. The staff were exceptional, from Reception through to cleaning staff. Everyone was so friendly and of course they ALL smiled! Our room was bigger than I was expecting with a view over the lagoon/sea and the pool. The breakfast was more than adequate for me and the waiters/waitresses were so helpful. I must add that if you want to do something a little different, ask if you can join the fruit and vegetable carving demonstration - it is more difficult than you think! (but a lot of fun). The Front Village is well located, about 5 minutes from the shops in Patak Road. It was a real pleasure for me and I would highly recommend this hotel as a good choice for somewhere to stay in Karon.

Room Tip: I would probably choose a room overlooking pool area as the trees do block some of the view of the s...

This was booked through a Travelzoo deal. I'll be honest I hated Phuket when we first arrrived, thought it trashy and brashy and found Patong overwhelming, however, I ended up really enjoying it!!!! I wouldn't go back to Karon beach as i found it a bit boring, full of Russians ( no offence but i did find the ones I encountered quite rude) and much enjoyed the hustle and bustle of Patong.
The hotel itself was fine, a bit out of the resort though, the big road you have to cross can get hairy, also 3 or 4 stray dogs roamed that area every night. I have a huge Dog Phobia but they didn't come near us, but its not nice to see them and I constantly worried they would get run over (note i'm scared of dogs I dont hate them).
the room was clean, the Air con worked etc but the patio doors onto the Balcony were very flimsy and didnt lock very well. luckliy we had no problems but we did worry!
I wouldnt bother buying the Wifi, expensive at 2000 baht per person for 1 week and it constantly didnt work or the connection would drop.
Drinks expensive at the pool bar, felt a bit sorry for the workers as they literally had nothing to do until happy hour between 4 and 5pm where cocktails were BOGOF so a sudden influx of people would appear!
All staff friendly and we had a thai meal in the hotel one night and that was great.
Breakfast was ok, they had soup everyday which i really got into and the fried eggs and Bacon was nice. pastries, salad and fresh fruit also. Apparently the egg station was great ( I dont eat omlettes so i cant vouch) .
I do however really recommend Two Chefs in Karon and also Kata beach- The food is quite simply amazing!! Karon beach restaurant had a house band on from 8pm every night and they were absoloutely billiant!!

Room Tip: all rooms have a seaview!

Stayed at Front Village for 5 nights beginning of October. Unfortunately the weather was terrible nearly continuous rain. However we enjoyed our stay our room was very comfortable and the public areas were very pleasant to sit and read. Umbrellas were in the wardrobes which was a godsend so we did manage the 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants overall a lovely hotel with good breakfast and polite and friendly staff. Would recommend

For this years( September 2013 ) holiday we went back to Karon PHuket Thailand and stayed at the Front Village Hotel Resort. From the moment we arrived at the hotel around Midnight the friendly staff were there to greet us and check us in quickly. Whilst checking in our bags were taken up to room. FIrst impression was they made us feel very welcome. We opened the door to our room and was impressed with the size and the welcome greeting on the king size bed made up by local leaves etc.... A nice touch. Bed was huge and firm and comfortable. We had a great view from balcony overlooking pool and beach in the background. Hotel is an easy 5 min stroll to shops, beaches and restaurants. The breakfast Buffett was more than enough with the highlight the chef cooking omelettes outside the Buffett room. The swimming pool was excellent with the pool bar setup beautifully in the middle making the 2 for 1 cocktails easy to drink at happy hour. All staff at the hotel were welcoming. If had to make a suggestion, pool hours needed to be extended from 10am to 8am but I am just getting picky now!!. I recommend this hotel to anybody wishing to have a stay in karon Phuket as it is one of the best without breaking the budget.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool side room as you can open your balcony door and drop straight into the pool

Spent 8 nights in The Front Village 11-18 September as part of an 11 night package that included a stay in Bangkok first.
Hotel is situated a little way out of the main town but only a 5-10 minute walk to get to the centre with all the shops and restaurants, but this means the hotel is nice an quiet. It is situated on the main road but don't be put off as you cannot hear anything once in your room for the night.
We stayed in a swim up room which was lovely, spacious with a very comfortable bed and good air conditioning.
Pool was very nice and happy hour good fun.
The staff are lovely and a credit to the hotel but we did have a couple of small issues. Firstly you have to pay for WiFi and the restaurant and bar are very expensive when compared to those in town. Pretty much every bar or restaurant we went to had free WiFi so this seemed a bit of a mistake for the hotel as it seemed to us that no one stayed at the hotel to eat or drink but all went to town, most nights the hotel was deserted of guests. We did stay out of season so it might be different in high season but if not then the management might like to think about changing its pricing to attract guests to stay and eat and drink.
Breakfast is OK but not very exciting.
