This is a beautiful resort, the rooms are great and the views are fantastic. Food and drink here are well prepared and for a foreigner, reasonably priced.
Unfortunately, the service in the hotel was greatly lacking. Our group of 7 spent about an hour in the lobby after a long flight and transfer before being led to our rooms. When my partner and I were shown our rooms, they were not what we had paid for and were told that the rest of the hotel was fully booked, despite us having a receipt showing that we had paid and booked six months in advance. After about 30 minutes of arguing with management, we were shown to another room, which was what we had booked, however the air conditioner was broken. Further complaints were made to management, and we then had to wait a further 3 hours before we could be moved to an upgraded room with a working air conditioner. Other members of our group were told that their rooms were too close to the lobby for a buggy to take them and they were made to carry their own suitcases down numerous staircases and steep hills in order to get to their rooms.
Another issue is the fact that the resort is quite large, and located on a fairly steep hill. The result of this being, it is fairly difficult to get around on foot. Buggies were required to take us to our rooms, however it seemed as though there was only one buggy running at a time, and sometimes we had to wait up to 15 minutes to be picked up from the lobby in order to be taken to our room.
In terms of dining options, the food was very good however there are periods between lunch and dinner where all of the restaurants in the resort including room service are closed, and again after 10pm where they do not reopen until the morning. Since the nearest food source is about a 10 minute drive away, this can be quite frustrating.
Overall this was a nice hotel, and the stay was reasonable, however do not stay with expectations of receiving any level of service whatsoever. Better options are available for your money. I will definitely not be staying here again.
