Very disappointing and not good value for money. Staff and room nice but food very hit and miss and a 400bht trip one way to Patong. Bar in lobby very understaffed and we witnessed people waiting 15-20 minutes at happy hour to order and giving up! Most of the time only one person with limited English at reception so queues. Beautiful gardens which were well maintained and good pools but limit of one towel per person. Found this resort disappointing especially as compared to other Phuket resorts which in many cases are cheaper.

Great Hotel, sensational location opposite Karon Beach, staff were always very helpful and polite. Our room had its own plunge pool, besides the mosquitos this was the best way to go,if you wanted a quick dip you could in private. Good size room lots of stone used inside the rooms, but cracked in a few places.the rooms had great air conditioning and ceiling fans.Great breakfast in the Pacifica restaurant ,plenty of variety. Also whichever way you left the property ther was a handy conveince store close by.At the Sand Bar great pizzas reasonably priced, and a great cafe. All in all 7 pleasurable days and nights.

Lovely villas amongst pretty gardens. We are unsure what the villas were like inside because we stayed in the hotel part of the resort.

This section of the resort is quite average both for rooms and location in relation to the beach. By the time you get back to your room from the beach (8 min walk) you are ready to swim again. The pool is nice and child friendly so if you are after a honeymoon style location this is definetly not the place for you!

Breakfast is impressive with a vast selection of all types of food! Overall pleasant enough stay but would stay in villas next time if we were to stay again.

Hello Readers,

El Gaucho is a brazilian steak restaurant. Argentinean wines can be found but do not expect it to be argentinean. Nevertheless, I love this restaurant.

I normally choose to go inside as it is a quiet place to enjoy the meal. If you go in the evening ask for a window table so you can enjoy the sunset. The interior is quite dark but is very charming and makes the place perfect. There are other sitting options outside but if you want an air conditioning environment just stay inside.

Wines from Australia, Argentina, Chile and few other countries can be found. Meats are coming from Australia so quality is also good. Taste is good and in overall consistent after being there a year later.

I tried Beef Wellington but the pastry wasn't adequate (was spring-roll pastry instead of the right one). Taste was still great and the meat was cook to perfection.

Following day I tried the Brazilian unlimited bbq and was fantastic. That includes salad bar but suggest you to first have the meat and then go for the salad bar ... otherwise will be too much. On this one they serve you beef (different cuts), chicken, lamb, veal and crocodile (as far as I remember). They also include pineapple with cinnamon and they will finish the meal with a fruit platter (very generous one).

Service was outstanding. I highly recommend this place for romantic or business dinner. Family with children is fine but I believe that children will enjoy more being outside otherwise the air-conditioned area will be too noisy.

Thanks Movenpick for providing such a nice dinning option.

Loved this place, ate here once to have a change from seafood. The location is right across from the beach. We arrived at sunset and it was beautiful. Saw some elephants walking past along the road near the beach (tourist rides?) which was pretty cool.
Food here is amazing. Try not to eat all day beforehand, we were seriously full ! It was great. Good value, would cost two-three times that much for the same quality back in Melbourne!
