This restaurant is part of the Pacific Club Resort but is open to all comers. We first came across this place when staying here in 2010 with our three children (then aged 16, 15 and 12). My wife and I have returned to Karon each year and on each occasion have made the walk to PCR to eat at the restaurant and to catch up with the excellent staff, especially Ead (ee-add) who taught our children so much on our first stay.
We recently took our (now) 16 year-old daughter with us and stayed two nights in a suite there and had breakfast each day and dinner both nights (once in-room, once in dining room).
In our experience it is usually fairly quiet for night-time meals which does put a few off but it does mean your food comes more quickly.
The menu is comprehensive and covers Mexican, Thai, Italian and Steaks. The prices are reasonable and the flavours excellent. I'm sure you'll find something for your palate!
The only downside, really, is a lack of outlook. The external, grassy and nicely-lit garden approach to the restaurant can only seen by a few tables and a small open window overlooks some nice trees but is limited to possibly two tables. However, the pebbled walls and adobe-style decor add some nice touches.
The walk back into Karon is quite short and is safe and, although people from well-lit areas may be perturbed by it, there is no concern as the the locals are friendly!
Thanks to Ead and his team for another great dining experience and expect to see us back in 2014.

We ate at this restaurant as many people had recommended it. The price of the food is pleasant, but some food sizes are small. We ordered the garlic bread which was small, you can get it for the same price in Australia and it's massive. Overall it's a nice restaurant and the staff are really nice. Nothing to really rave about though.

We stayed at this reort and had breakfat and dinner each day pricing is similar to restaurants in Karon but the restaurant itself is much above average. The staff are mainly Burmese and are helpful friendly young people giving excellent service. The menu covers English Mexican American Italian and of course Thai dishes quality was very good

Visited the Dining Room after reading reviews, the night we visited we were the only two diners, lacked atmosphere. Husband ordered sirloin steak and was told wasn't available so he ordered rib eye instead. Don't know what he actually got but certainly wasn't rib eye by Australian standards. Two slices of fatty thin beef arrived. Very disappointing because we were looking forward to this to end our holiday. Very scary walk home down a dark unlit street.

Dear L&LAustralia,

We're sorry to hear you're experience at our Dining Room wasn't up to par. We guarantee to not only provide great fresh wholesome food, but also at very competitive prices.

Regarding your meal, I'd sure like to know if you complained at the time cause all (or most ) of our other Guests, especially the ones who sleep in our resort, love our Dining Room (check the reviews for Pacific Club Resort which has ranked #1 or 2 in Karon Beach since we opened). If you had complained, I'm sure you would have had immediate response.

For our readers it's important to note, we are rarely busy since our restaurant is located up on the exclusive hillside area in our 33 room resort as a service for our Guests. We have over 120 chairs located in 4 areas around our resort which when full accommodates around 70 Guests, so if anyone is looking for a busy restaurant, please try another place. The two worst of our reviews were placed by folks who came up and were immediately put off or worried cause they were the only ones in the Dining Room. sometimes first impressions (empty restaurant) stick. Of course public is welcome and we do get a few repeat Guests from the other two hotels next door. But it'll never be anywhere near full in our Dining Room except at around 10 a.m. on some days cause lot's of folks tend to make our breakfast buffet more of a brunch.

And for everyone's information, the walk down to town is completely safe, we've been open for 8 years and nobody has had any incidents.

So I will look forward to hear from you to understand more detail as the what could have happened. Please do visit our website visit the sitemap and click on the button called "Contact the Owner".

Happy Traveling,

Eric
