“wonderful yet again”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

This was our 3rd time - and the hotel and staff were up to their usual high standards. Thank goodness they got rid of the price tags on everything which I commented on after our last visit - they are back to giving a free beach bag - which was very useful - to use and take home.
Again we had a room on the first floor, this time with a bath on the balcony - which was nice.
We were picked up at the airport and taken almost immediately to our room - all the formalities had been done, luggage arriving soon after.
We used the adult pool with the bar after 4pm every day having spent the mornings and early afternoons on their beach. Never had any problems getting loungers, though that was because (after the first day) realising you needed to get down to the beach before breakfast and put your towels on a sun lounger if you wanted one on one of the first 2 rows!!
We took up their offer of a free trip to Old Phuket town and made our way to the night market - a must - which we had never done before. Huge and great for bargains - but prepare to barter. Good food area as well with everything you.can imagine. Negotiated with a taxi driver to take us back for 700thb (they want to charge you 1000thb for the 40 min drive).
Ate every night at Hannah's seafood restaurant on the beach - nice fresh fish and cheap. They remembered us from last time which was nice - or at least said they did!
Good snorkelling reef as well just in front of the hotel beach.
Great weather - we went at the begining of March - never had one bad day or saw one cloud!
We stayed 6 nights which was just enough - by the 5th day was starting to get a bit bored with the breakfast - not that you are short of choice - and they do try to vary a few things - on the whole it is very good - but its the heat that gets to you - longed for an air conditioned breakfast - which we looked forward to - as we left for Bangkok.

Stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon trip back in January. We had a Pool Pavilion room which really had the wow factor. Not long after arriving at our room there was a knock at our door and in came a selection of fruit, two small cakes and a bottle of fizzy wine for our honeymoon, lovely! The room is large with a separate dressing area with safe. You receive complimentary robes, slippers, flip flops and beach bag! The TV had a good selection of channels including two movie channels. The bathroom area had two sinks (although those fancy taps are annoying to use!) and a huge walk in shower. The bath was just outside on the patio. The huge floor to ceiling doors slid open onto our own little plunge pool. It was cold and it doesn't get the sun on it as its covered but its nice for an occasional refreshing dip! Each evening at around 5pm the maid would do turn down and light candles and incense to ward off insects, we never saw or got bitten by any mosquitoes. I did see a mouse one night run across the patio.

Breakfast was amazing! I can't see how people can complain. It had a huge selection of food to choose from and to suit all cultures. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurants or use the bars as the beach area has a nice selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars at reasonable prices. Only £3-4 for a nice main meal on an evening! We loved the adult pool with the swim up bar, it was so relaxing and always plenty of sun beds. The pool was quite cool and not heated but nice enough. We used the beach club only a couple of times as the beds are all next to each other and the staff seemed a bit rude (and openly accepting tips from customers to reserve beds the next day for them). You also get people selling you things on the beach quite often. However, the beach area itself was lovely. If you walk along to the left its quiet and peaceful and you can see buildings left abandoned from the tsunami.

Highly recommend booking any trips with Phuket Sail Tours, you have to book before you go but they are highly recommended and safe.

Overall Indigo Pearl was the highlight of our honeymoon and we highly recommend it!

Dear ChocolateboxUk,

Thank you for staying with us on such an important trip! We are very pleased that you enjoyed your honeymoon stay here at Indigo Pearl! It was great to see you enjoyed the design and our pool pavilion, Also happy to hear you enjoyed the many pools we have to offer and the chefs will be delighted to hear your comments on the breakfast buffet.

Our apologies on the Beach Club but I must point out that is a separate owner business-- bar/beach club that the local beach guys did an amazing job of making it look like the resort and even using our name Beach club, we have changed the name on the beach to cotedemer to hopefully avoid this confusion in the future, (there is NO Partnership what so ever with this establishment and Indigo Pearl.) So sorry about this....

Thank you again for staying with us and taking the time to review us here and we really appreciate the great feedback on the team and the hotel and hope to see you back for your anniversary!!

We look forward to welcoming you both back very soon and wish you all the very best!

Warm regards,

The Indigo Pearl Team

Lovely modern hotel. Gorgeous rooms with plenty of space. Cleaned every morning. Large spacious balcony with day bed, table with chairs and outside bath. Beautiful surroundings. Never ate in hotel restaurants as lots of cheap restaurants along the beach where the food was outstanding and cheap. Would definitely go back and stay here.

Beautiful resort
Amazing location at the beach
The grounds need to be cleaned with leaves and dirty pavers .. I would give the Indigo Pearl excellent if this was so!
Was upgraded to pool pavilion though was a bit run down since constructed! Beach across the 3 metre small road was amazing!! Great for swimming with lots of beach restaurants with tables in the sand! Great for lunch and dinner!
Loved the location! Breakfast at Indigo was outstanding!! Fantastic experience!!!

We stayed at Indigo Pearl Resort for the 5th time since 2010. Staff and Service is still absolutely unbeatable. All of them really make you welcome and try to fulfill all needs and wishes. But we had to notice some deterioration in the facilities:

There is an urgent need for upgrading the beach Club: sand is dirty with food leftovers, cigarette butts, filthy, sticky sun chair cushions - even dog excrements. The sun chairs are old and almost all of them are broken and very dirty. We also felt that the beach Club wasn't ready early enough. Arriving usually at 10am, nothing was ready and the beach staff was not too keen having guests "so early"...

The Resort has 3 pools: 2 for adults only (above 14 years, resp. 18 years) and 1 for families. We had to stay at the family pool with our 6 year old daughter. What was annoying though were groups of young adults sitting in the pool for hours drinking and drinking (alcohol, of course).... More than once our daughter wasn't able or comfortable playing and swimming in the pool around those groups of (drunk) people. Also, same issue with the sun chairs: broken and dirty.

Aircon in the rooms is extremly noisy. I could not sleep without earplugs... I haven't remembered it being so loud. Every early evening, there was an almost overpowering bad smell rising up from the canalisation system... It went away after a while, but still it is not exactly what you need, sitting comfortably on your balcony...

During our stay, we visited friends at "The Surin" Hotel. The beach was pristine, everthing extremely well maintained and clean. Although we have always been a huge fan of Indigo Pearl (and sent many friends and family to the Resort over the last couple of years), we probably won't be back and choose "The Surin" for our next trip to Phuket.

Room Tip: The Pearl Bed Suites are very spacious and perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. The D-Buk suites are pe...

We absolutely loved our stay at the Indigo Pearl. We were thrilled with every aspect of our time here from the moment we checked in until the time came for us to check out.

We chose this hotel for the last leg of our first visit to Thailand and were extremely pleased with the choice. The Indigo Pearl has a very modern feel. You get a sense of this theme when you enter the resort for the first time and are directed to the seats in the lobby area where an attendant brings you a wonderful cool cloth and takes your information for check-in. The friendliness we first encountered at check-in continued with each staff interaction throughout our stay.

Our room was located near the adult pool. It was very spacious, with a platform bed, huge walk in closet with safe, a very large bathroom, and spacious balcony.

The adult pool area was very relaxing. We enjoyed lounging by the pool for a few hours each day. We also enjoyed their spa services.

Breakfast at the Tin Mine was included in the price of our package, and we thought the food was very good and plentiful. Our dinner at Rivet was fantastic (and one of our favorite meals of our trip). Black Ginger was booked the entire time we were there (there was a rather large wedding on site, guess we will have to go back), so you may want to book in advance if you want to eat at this restaurant. We heard from other guests who had booked prior to the wedding that it was a rather unique experience.

We had such a wonderful time, so much so that when we return to Thailand we plan to stay at the Indigo Pearl once again.

An additional note - you can walk right outside the hotel grounds to the beach (across the street) with loungers for use. While we enjoyed eating at the resort, there are a lot of restaurants and bars across the street that were very reasonably priced. The hotel did not have a traditional gift shop, and so we enjoyed the shopping available right outside the property. And the hotel is closer to the airport, so it was an easy commute when it came time to fly home.

Love, love, love this place and their amazing staff.

We stayed at the Indigo Pearl for a wedding in early March. I really cannot find any fault with this hotel at all. It is the most amazing setting for the perfect day. All the pools are stunningly beautiful, gardens well kept and attention to detail amazing. The place was designed by an engineer and the theme of mining / engineering is seen all over the place.
The bride and groom had the most amazing bungalow with their own pool and massage room. Our room was fantastic, with massive bed, his and hers sinks and a bath on the terrace.
Food was excellent and so were the staff....if your seriously considering this hotel, then go for it you won't be disappointed. We stayed in 6 hotels around Thailand and the surrounding islands and this came out tops for us.
