Nice food, nice place, nice sunset, cool cockails, only the service seemed a bit disoriented because we did not get what we ordered, maybe because of suddenly dipping rain and wind.....anyway, the food was nice, the cocktails too....it was a nice finish of our 4 week thailand-trip.
We can absolutely recommend this place.

“Timewwell spent”

Had a couple hours before the return flight so hung out at Nai Yang Beach. Asked a local his favorite eatery & he immediately indicated this restaurant. Happy Hour, the wind & you can't beat a beach welcoming the sunset! Not a bad spot. I think I'll need to return with my other half...soon.

“Top Notch”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

Living in the Nai Yang Beach area, I frequent the many good restaurants there. Baan Ra Tree has become my favorite due to their exquisite flavors and excellent service. As the managing owners are generally there working the hardest, it sets a standard for their staff to follow. A trained staff that hustles to get orders out is a bit of a rarity in Phuket. The Chef(s) are very talented in blending Thai flavors. For starters, I highly recommend the Shrimp Tempura or the Glass Noodle wrapped Fried Shrimp. Combined with their dipping Sauce, it is hard not to order one or the other each time I eat here. Their many curry dishes are outstanding, with my favorites being the Massaman Curry and their Duck Curry. Noodle dishes Phad Thai and Phad See Ew are as flavorful as any where on the Island. The Fried Rice served in a Pineapple Shell is a sure hit. A great selection of fresh fish and seafood prepared in various ways array the choices here. The expansive menu even includes a Cheeseburger and Cordon Bleu even, if wishing for some excellent tasting Farang food. With quality, service, and price all on the side of the customer, Baan Ra Tree is a sure hit. By the way, you dine by candle light right on the beach. If raining, there is covered dining as well. Baan Ra Tree is a must do if you are in the Nai Yang Beach area.

“Our Favourite Restaurant on Nai Yang”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

We stayed 5 nights at the Dewa and ate at Ba Ra Tree 3 times. The food was fantastic with great Thai and seafood dishes. Prices are similar to Patong, but the location was far superior, on the high tide mark on a beautiful white sandy beach is hard to beat. The staff where very friendly, some had very limited English, however this added to the experience. Fantastic desserts as well!

“Sand on my toes...great food and listening to the waves lapping on the shore!”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Great food, very reasonably priced...it was our first night and we stumbled across this restaurant and it seemed to be the busiest.

Yummy food - reasonable priced wine and great service.

Dont be fooled by the plastic tables and chairs...you certainly are not choosing this restaurant for its decor - you expectaions will be well and truly exceeded!!!
