The Dewa Resort is located at the northern end of Nai Yang Beach which lies next to a national park. It is a relatively quiet beach Village. The airport is only a 5 minute shuttle bus ride so you can get to this little quiet paradise quickly. When we arrived at Dewa Resort we had asked for a 4th floor (top floor) room which had its own area on the roof but there were all taken so they gave us an enormous 2 bedroom as there was 3 of us travelling on the 3rd floor with the biggest balcony it was an absolutely beautiful room with views over the main swimming pool of which there are two pools and views over the villas and you could see the ocean and watch the planes taking off from the airport. Even though the airport is close you were never disturbed by the planes ever. The apartment had everything you needed, coffee maker, hot water immediately for drinks, stove, fridge, everything just like at home. We had two bathrooms, one had a large round bath both beautiful. The lounge area had two couches that opened up to divans, the loungeroom had a dvd player and both bedrooms had tv's plus dvd players also. The only problem I had was that I am a very light sleeper and the room was too light for me so staff blackened out the windows for me and the beds were new and quite hard for us even though the had pillow tops but once again the staff put extra padding on the beds to make it more comfortable. All the staff at Dewa were so helpful, happy and could not do enough for you to make your staff as comfortable as possible. The grounds around the resort were so beautiful, the villas looked lovely, the supplied towels at the pools which was great as well as towels in your apartment in case you wanted to go to the beach or on a tour. We booked all our tours through the resort and everyone of them were fantastic and memorable. We had a massage the first day arriving after our long flight from Melbourne and words cant describe how wonderful it was best I have ever had in my entire life and I have a lot. My daughter got very sick with a bowel infection, they called a doctor from Bangkok Hospital Phuket to come to the hotel room and see her and after an injection and medication was lots better by the morning. The village of Nai Yang is so friendly, everyone smiles and says hello everytime no matter if you walk there which is only about a 5 minute walk or a ride on the pushbikes complimens of Dewa they will still say hello all day. We ate most of the time at Phens on the beach food was outstanding and they will make whatever you want and excellently priced. The Pizza's from the wood fired oven pizza shop were so yummy we loved them. The food from the Bread and Butter bakery attached to Dewa was delicious, everything there was so good and the lattes were great too. The buffet breakfast at Dewa was great with heaps of selection and variety it was great to order the eggs and other hot food straight from the menu all included in the price. The shuttle bus takes you to Phuket Town or Patong at 11.30am but you do have to book cause it only takes about 10 people at a time and picks you up at 6.00pm if you want to. I feel there should be more shuttle buses going every day it wouldnt take much to say have two shuttle buses daily taking you, we caught the taxi out the front a couple of times and it cost 1600 baht return which is a little pricey but nothing compared to Melbourne Taxi's. We hired a driver for a day he was also out the front of the hotel his name was "WAT" and he was awesome spoke good english and waited for us all day and took us whereever we wanted to go. It was great to go look at Patong or Phuket Town but it was so nice to come back to quiet Nai Yang and especially Dewa at the end of the day. We stayed 14 days at Dewa and loved every minute of it, we will be returning to Thailand next year and will definately stay at Dewa again. Thanks Dewa for your kindness, hospitality and warmth, you made our trip so wonderful and I cant wait to see you all again.
