Walked a fair bit to the top and didn't really enjoy any of it. Far better places to visit in Himachal

Its one of the attractions in Sangla. its about 2 -3 kms from main sangla market.
The easy trek from sangla to Kamru fort is good. It goes through Apple farms and then small roads of villages.

It was made by Current CM's forefathers. Main fort complex remains closed for outsiders. You can vistit a temple and have some leisure chat with the priests there. Nothing much to do. Just enjoy the view from top of the fort.

Best time to visit is September which is apple harvesting time.

Lovely woodwork on the Fort, it seems to take you back in time, it seems battered by weather but still its grand architecture stands out. Views from it are excellent, you can see the whole valley, with the river Baspa. Lovely spot for Photography. the road ends around 500mts before the fort, the rest is on foot. not too much of a tire for people habitual to walking. no shops in vicinity so do your shopping before exiting the vehicle. A temple is also encountered on the way, BadriNath Ji. Locals do not like noisy crowds so keep it peace full. Enjoy the view and take in the history.

This temple is holds a prime centre in entire Sangla valley. The wood artitecture is amazing and is considered to be built in 15 century . The image of Kamkhya Devi is worth seeing which is considered to be brought from Assam. The temple is basically dedicated to lord Badrinath.

The original seat of the rulers of the erstwhile Bushahr state was at the Kamru Fort, in the village of Kamru at the banks of the Baspa River. The fort is currently abandoned and houses an idol of Kamakhya Devi (Kamakshi Dev), which is believed to have been brought several centuries ago from Kamakhya temple in Guwahati. The rulers subsequently moved to Sarahan.
