“Nice food!”
Reviewed January 9, 2014 via mobile

The menu was more of a restaurant than pub. Strong wine list, with a sampler at £5 which seemed worthwhile. The decor was attractively rustic. We had a warm welcome and the service was initially fine, but it faded. Good presentation. The lasagne looked and tasted home made.

“Lovely relaxing pub atmosphere”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

We have been going to The Boot for the past few years and have always had a good experience. We have sat in the restaurant and pubs areas and have always had good service. The food is very tasty with a good specials board. We recommend the cheese board.

“Better than average pub.”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

This place is a pub but upmarket. Very pleasant surroundings, rural decor (bare walls etc) and attentive service. We went midweek, they have themed evenings but not sure what the 'Ladies night' is about. Imaginative menu with an excellent if expensive/overpriced selection of wines. Maybe I should buy a bottle instead of a glass next time!

“Good food and good staff”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

I visited the Boot on a recommendation. The menu is good but does not change very often but the setting/interior was lovely. I would recommend for anyone wanting to go for a special occasion.

“Lunch time visit. Great atmostphere fantastic food.”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

Stopped by for lunch. The venue is beautiful, I was a little taken aback by the the first approach of the attentive staff. It was a bit intimidating as three people approached us within seconds of walking in!!! Still after that it was all very very good. We opted for the light bites sandwiches which were so very tasty presented well and packed full with dleicious brie, cranberry & advocado..
The real ale is kept very well and at the correct temperature. We spent a long lunch time there and didnt feel any pressure to move on or pay the bill. Would certainly head back to The Boot when i am back in the area.
