Beautiful setting, faultless service, stunning room, excellent breakfast. Definitely one of the nicest places we have stayed in and without doubt we will go back, a great place to unwind and relax.
And i have to mention the lemon drizzle cake served with afternoon tea, simply superb. Thank you.

Wonderful hospitality and fantastic rooms, Harptree court has beautiful grounds and lots to explore, the local pub was fantastic and was a great place to go on a cold November evening. The room was large and the bed very comfortable with an amazing view, just what we needed for a weekend break. We could not fault the breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Charles and Linda are lovely hoasts.

Just want to echo other people's comments. Charles and Linda have managed completely successfully to tread that fine line between maintaining the informality of a family home and the grandeur of a fabulous country house. Really difficult to find even the tiniest fault, and I've tried! It is double the cost of your average B&B, but then the rooms are at least double the size and the setting is exceptional.

Room Tip: Read the small print if you are fussy about bath versus shower.

We stayed one night at Harptree Court and had an excellent time - very welcoming and the hosts really make it feel like home (albeit a grand one!) Gardens are lovely to stroll around, and the breakfast was excellent. We had dinner at the nearby Pony & Trap which is wonderful and unpretentious, although you might want to book your taxi back well in advance, as there is only one cab driver in the area. All in all, a lovely weekend.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Rust Room which has great views but does not have a separate shower and bath, and the shower over the bath is handheld. So if you really prefer a normal shower, choose another room, but the view is lovely from the Rust Room.

We stayed 3 nights in the Rust Room at the beginning of October 12, wonderful views over the grounds. Our hosts, Charles and Linda, were most helpful and considerate, and had made a great deal of effort to ensure that our stay would be memorable, in the nicest possible way. Wonderful breakfasts, superb afternoon teas, and home made cakes that could have won prizes in the GBBO! We would certainly like to return in the future and have already recommended Harptree Court to several friends.
