We visited in March on a very foggy night, it was a great place to meet up with friends. We were greeted by a roaring log fire, just the thing to warm us up on such a miserable night.
The staff were friendly and helpful and showed us to our table. The menu had plenty of variety with lots of good old favourites. The food was of excellent quality and our party all thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We will definately visit again.

Lovely day today so decided to go for a walk at cheddar and stop for lunch at the castle of comfort. Excellent service with lovely food and a roaring open fire. Great value also as for 2 adults and 1 child all for £21....

Having travelled from Belfast to Bristol unfortunately via Birmingham due to weather we were desperate for food, however with no table booked and it being valentines night when we arrived at 8.45 we were thinking that we would struggle to get a meal. no problem the staff were delightful and found us a table and the food very welcome and extremely good value. have been there before on travelling to Weymouth and will certainly continue to do so in the future

After a Sunday walk in priddy forest we stopped off at this quaint looking pub. Recently refurbished to a high standard throughout. Very friendly staff and logs on the fire, what else could you want? Very extensive menu including a specials board. The only thing wrong is it shuts at 3. Apart from this excellent
