We arrived at the hotel on the weekend of the 09th February 2013 and were impressed with the lovely setting. We walked through the impressive grounds to reception and were met by the receptionist who checked us in and told us that breakfast was served between 0730 and 1000 but we should get there early to receive a "better service". We thought this odd and unprofessional as the hotel should provide the same service regardless of the time if it is within breakfast hours! We asked if she could find us a taxi for 6 people and she informed us she would make some enquiries and call us in our room. We entered our room which was a standard double and were pleasantly surprised with how spacious it was (for a standard). The bathroom was also a good size and clean but there was a terrible 'egg' smell in the bathroom which we assumed was coming from the drains. That aside, the bathroom consisted of the usual facilities including a monsoon shower-head over the bath and also a hand-held shower-head (which was not working). Within the bedroom was a large flat screen television, tea and coffee making facilities, a dresser table and wardrobe. The double bed looked comfortable but as we found, it was VERY soft and sagged in the middle so during the night we continuously rolled into each other! We received a telephone call from the receptionist stating that she had spoken to a taxi firm and the best they could do was send two cars at £40 to drive 6 of us into Bath city centre (6 miles!). We made a call ourselves to a taxi firm and booked a 6-seater for £25 so DO NOT request the hotel to book you a taxi!!! The following morning we sat down for breakfast at 0930 and it was a buffet style breakfast. The hot breakfast consisted of trays of sausages, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns, beans and scrambled eggs. The continental breakfast had all gone so we have no idea what that consisted of and there were no staff around to ask. Check-out was 11am and we were met by the same receptionist. At no point did she ask us how our stay was or if we were pleased. She simply accepted payment and said goodbye. Overall, the hotel itself and the grounds are fantastic but the staff (or lack of in parts), drainage smell and bed, let it down during out stay.

    Good Afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your stay with us at Tracy Park for which we are very grateful. We do take the comfort of our guests very seriously and strive to offer an affordable, high quality service to all our clients.

I am sorry to hear of your problems with the accommodation & particularly the issue with maintenance. We strive to offer a high quality of accommodation and service but unfortunately for various reasons we were unable to deliver to the standards we pride ourselves on at this particular occasion.
In regards to the experience you had with the taxi service unfortunately we have various companies we work with & their rates of charge do change from time to time outside of our control but I do appreciate the feedback and this will be addressed so that we can offer our guests the most competitive rates of travel with local Taxi firms.

I hope that you will return to visit us and that your follow up review, should you wish to leave one, will be reflective of our solid commitment to customer service that we strive to offer all our clients on every visit.

Please contact me at matthew@tracypark.co.uk, if you would like to discuss your review further and resolve any issues you may have.

    Many Kind Regards

My Partner and I stayed here for our 4 year anniversary, we picked it knowing it wasn't to far from the city and was a perfect setting to spend our anniversary.

On arrival we were amazing by the buildings keep and build of new structure that was built in keeping with the rest of it. The staff were very polite on arrival and were super efficient.

We stayed in the Luxury Carriage house and the room was immaculate, very clean, tidy and just beautiful. The bathroom was modern and the room was in keeping with the rest of the building. The Queen sized bed has to be by far the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!

The only problem was if you have any question for reception, make sure you ask them in morning or afternoon, as from the around 6-7pm the Reception is closed and unattended, However there are staff around and important numbers for guest left by the phone such as taxi services or numbers for different parts of the hotel.

We had breakfast there, it was a lovely cooked breakfast buffet with all there, including fruit and cereals.

Overall was truly an amazing get away perfect for proposals and weddings... it’s also family friendly and great for golf!

Tracy Park- Top notch, would defiantly stay there again!

Room Tip: We had a carriage luxury suite £99 great room to splash on anniversaries or special occasions. There was a standard option for around £50. And there are old coach house converted to family suites.

Just returned from the perfect stay at Tracy Park. It was in a great location for what we wanted; away in the countryside yet close enough to Bath for things to do. We only stayed for one night as an anniversary trip but could have stayed longer. The room was lovely; the beams and windows made it look like an old country barn yet it had be renovated to provide a modern room. Never heard a noise from outside of the neighboring rooms.

Breakfast in the morning was delicious - lots to choose from and the room was a beautiful setting to enough it in. Would definitely return and recommend.

My partner and I stayed for the weekend of 11th January for my birthday and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had a near as perfect getaway as possible. All of the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us throughout the weekend. The hotel itself was spotless and in stunning and idyllic settings and this was matched by our room (22) which we found to be one of the best rooms we have stayed in and that includes some 5 star hotels too. The food was of a very high restaurant standard and the chefs should be commended on such incredible food. With the hotel not that busy for that weekend, it may have been easy for the staff to drop the standards but far from it, we were made to feel very wanted and we couldn’t have asked for anything else. We didn’t manage to play golf but we will be returning to do that when the weather is a bit more agreeable. However, not even the miserable weather could put a chill on what was a fantastic weekend. As value for money goes, it was exceptional, it simply doesn’t get any better!

Room Tip: We were in one of the courtyard room which was perfect but were told the even newer Carriages rooms were just stunning although we did not nsee them.

A beautiful historical hotel and a fantastic setting - we had a classic double room in the courtyard for one night. A nice sized room - simple, cosy decor and we liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom! It could have perhaps done with a coat hook (personal preference) or more hangers (we only had one in the wardrobe).

To nitpick a bit - when we arrived, the receptionist was lovely, but we weren't really told much information e.g what time breakfast was and where, check out time, etc.
Also, the breakfast was very yummy, a nice selection on the buffet and wide choice for the hot breakfast, but the only real issue was the TOAST. Both batches were brought to our table very burnt, which was a shame as we were pleased with the rest of the food. It made us question why the kitchen felt it was okay to send out black toast, especially when we were the only people in the breakfast room.

Other than these three possible improvements, we had a very enjoyable stay. We would recommend it for a weekend away visiting Bath - It's only a 10 min drive on a straight road into the centre or there is a park and ride down the road. It is surrounded by the beautiful countryside, perfect for walks and its down the road from Beckfordtower Tower - a beautiful view!

    We would defiantly stay again!
