Right from the time I contacted Tisha & Simon at Bike & Tours I felt I was in good hands, I was right. They organized Darnam Valley for us which was a blessing as it was fully booked but Tisha got us in, thanks Tisha. All up we stayed three nights with Tisha & Simon and the pampering never stopped from arrival to departure. Tisha & Simon have a third sense, you only have to give the smallest hint of something you want or want to do and next thing you have it or they will arrange it, hosts of the best kind. Their B&B is spotless and has the most relaxing atmosphere. If you want you can veg out and be pampered by Tisha & Simon from morning till night, like us. Every other review has discussed their food so we do not have to go there except to say we put on weight. We have to give Tisha & Simon a big heart felt thank you. People said to us why would you want to stay in Lahad Datu there is nothing there, WRONG. Let alone Tisha & Simon we meet some of the friendliest people in the world in Lahad Datu and will never forget their smiling faces.

lahad datu is far from being an inspiring location in itself, but the owners managed to make us feel great at their place.

facilities: both our room and the shared (just among 2 rooms, therefore it felt like private) bathroom were impeccably clean, so were beds and linen; rooms are very quiet, no noise from streets (residential area).

service: the owners, itisha and simon, were so friendly, attentive and caring that we really felt almost at home. they also helped us with our onwards bus tickets, took us to the bus station and helped us arrange a place in the Kinabatangan area that we visited next.

food: malaysia's food is really good, but usually not that nicely presented, whereas the food (made with local ingredients, they even managed to find pink guava for our special dessert!) prepared by itisha, beside being really tastefull, was also beautifully presented ...

trips: due to our short stay we were not able to check any of their trips, so cannot comment on this, but after visiting a couple of places in Malaysia and checking their itineraries, they seem to be very well put together and combined with their professional attitude must certainly be worth trying. from our discussions about our plans we could also see that they have great knowledge of kinabatangan area, danum valley etc.

alll in all: awesome place, awesome hosts!

On our way back from Danum Valley we made a stop in Lahad Datu at Simon's and Tisha's place. Even though there was only Simon who run the B&B at that day, he made us an unforgettable stay! We really enjoyed chatting with our host and teh food, he prepaired was awesome!
The Location itself is not a 5-Star-Hotel-Suite but Simon and Tisha make it to one. Once more we realised that hospitality is everything you need!!!
Keep on doing!

Wow! Our 3 nights staying with Simon was one of our highlights of our 4 month trip around Asia. The stay was very comfortable and Simon our host was just amazing. He always went that little extra in making sure we and our 6 month baby were feeling fine. We did an amazing days ride with great food and scenery. Simon had organised a baby capsule for his 4x4 so us parents could ride together. We were completely won over by the whole 4 days with Simons hospitality and friendliness with our baby boy. Would recommend this place for sure and would love to travel back there some time.

Originally, we planed to stay only one night in Lahad Datu. But after spending the night at Bike and Tours B&B we decided to stay some days more. Simon and Tisha were the perfect hosts and we felt all the time like being at home (or staying at our best friends place). Their home is adorable (best stay in our 4 weeks in Borneo) with a lot of love for the little details. Dinner and breakfast were just amazing (probably because Tisha spend half the day just cooking for us). Simon and Tisha were extremely helpful in helping us arrange our further trips to Danum Valley and Mountain Kinabalu. We also did a bike tour with Simon to a closely located village and we really much enjoyed it, too.
In summary, if you're planning to stay in Lahad Datu, don't hesitate! You won't find a better location.
