“My favorite restaurant in Puerto Viejo”
Reviewed March 15, 2013 via mobile

Love, love, love this place. It's tucked away behind Gatta ci Cova, off the road. Follow the little road by the La Pecora Nera sign. Great atmosphere, good wine, great service, and the food is the best part! The menu itself is full of wonderful sounding things, and then they will tell you about the specials, then the really hard part comes - deciding what to get! Everyone in our party was more than satisfied - delicious homemade pastas, grilled tuna, yum! This was our second visit, after a wonderful time one year ago- this was at the top of our must do list!

“Put it on your must do list and make a reservation!”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

We stumbled on this place by accident because the place we were intending to dine was closed, and boy what a happy accident! Lucky we arrived early because without a reservation we would not have gotten a table. The meal of the trip, for sure. The service was excellent and the food even better. We split a salad, pasta - unbelievable - and fresh fish. Not sure where they get the limoncello but it is like crack. Reasonable Siciillian house wine and lovely setting. Highly recommend that you find this place.

“Superb Italian Cuisine”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

Excellent service. Lots of options for pasta and seafood including nightly specials. Expansive wine list. Best side dish of spiced carrots I can remember. Fresh desserts to complete the meal.

“Great Italian surprise”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

We were guided towards the tasting menu, which included the dishes we would have eaten from the main menu, and was much cheaper overall. Attentive service, great Sicilian red wine and personal attention from the owner. Great setting for a romantic dinner, well back off the road, and peaceful.
