Description: Welcome to The Gamekeeper, we offer truly delicious food, real ales & fine wines served in the relaxing bar, in the warm intimate dining room or in the pretty fenced garden - weather permitting. There is also a large brick & timbered hall which is ideal for private functions, meetings & very special occasions. On Sundays we have a carvery in this hall but this can also be booked for your party. Located on East Anglia's largest village green, our 17th Century Grade II listed pub overlooks the pastures & ponds of Old Buckenham. We are situated 14 miles from Norwich and 9 miles from Diss.

Just back from an evening out at the Gamekeeper and I have to admit that it was probably the best food I have eaten out in East Anglia since I moved here. Great venue, great food...what more could you want. The menu offers a great selection and the chef/staff aided a member of our group who had a diary intolerance issue...great service.

Would I go again? Yep..booking for another meal next week!

We loved the food, about £90 but did have 3 glasses of wine (should have just bought the bottle as it was cheaper.) The only problem was the cheese and biscuits which was very limited in variety and amount.

Lovely country pub, welcoming staff and a huge "baronial hall" room that would be exceelent for functions. Only 10 minutes off the main A11 so worth a detour. Lovely food, only slight niggle was a rather long wait for food to arrive on a not especially busy nighht.

I have eaten here several times before, but this was the first time this year. The menu isn't the biggest, but there's a fair amount of variety, a lot of which appears to have locally sourced ingredients. There is also a specials board which changes on a regular basis. The bar itself also sells a good range of beers and wine. Service is friendly and efficient, even when busy and the food excellent. The only thing stopping me giving it top marks was a mix up with the bill. However, when we pointed out the error it was quickly dealt with.
