The carvery although pricey compared to alternative venues, is very tasty. Presentation of items could be better. Difficult I know given it's a carvery. There are a huge array of accompanying vegetables dishes. The restaurant was fully booked, so sat in the bar. I think booking is essential. Not many tables in the bar area. So booking looks to be the better option. We had the gammon which was a long side some of the best we have tasted!
We don't always have dessert, but felt we would give the rice pudding ago. Glad, we did - it was great. It was accommpanied by raspberry ripple ice-cream which was to sweet for us, and not necessary. Also, a biscuit, which was a bit greasy in feel and taste and soggy.
So we left it.
We would visit again!
