“Beautiful, perfect and delightful”
Reviewed September 15, 2012

For my 60th birthday my husband and 2 daughters took me on a magical mystery tour which ended at Boslinney Barn, it was absolutely perfect. Beautiful, house in a gorgeous location and the silence - you could almost feel it. As everyone else says, Ginny is an angel. A lovely, lovely lady who makes you feel very welcome and at home; who cooks delicious breakfasts and is a fountain of knowledge all things local.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and lovely ensuites.

You would have to go a long way to find a more welcoming hostess, more comfortable beds and a more delicious breakfast than you will find at Boslinney Barn. Ginny provides the ultimate in true Cornish hospitality.

A fantastic B&B in a lovely location. Ginny is a perfect host whose knowledge of the local area is second to none and she cooks a great breakfast! The property itself is beautiful with an outside garden for guests for use. The rooms and breakfast area are decorated to a high standard and the cleanliness is impecible. We have every intention of returning to Boslinney Barn because of the warm welcome we received and the perfect surroundings. It represents great value for money and we did not want to leave!

One point that potential guests should note is that despite Tripadvisor showing the location as Saint Ewe, it is actually much much closer to Mevagissey which is well worth a visit.

We would highly recommend Boslinney Barn.

We stayed for a few nights at the beginning of August 2012 - what we missed out on in terms of weather was certainly made up through the comfort and hospitality of Boslinney.

Our room (green room) also benefited from its own entrance and whilst being a little on the cosy side in size had all the requirements and was interestingly and immaculately decorated. As previous reviewers have said the beds are incredibly comfortable and the showers powerful, perfect for recharging the batteries before another days exploring.

I can only echo comments regarding the hostess Ginny whose warmth and knowledge (and cooking skills!) only add to the experience.

Whilst its location provides breathtaking views and a place to escape to I would like to warn readers that if you wish to walk into Mevagissey (the closest town) for a bite to eat or drink this means 30-40mins through hilly single track roads with no street lighting.

That said I would return to Boslinney in a heartbeat this time with a better torch in tow.

Everything great thing you read about Boslinney Barn on Tripadvisor is the truth... There is almost nothing I can say that will not be repetitive. What I can emphasize is the fabulousness of Ginny! She is an intuitive host - whilst she is professional and competent in every aspect of the day to day aspects of running Boslinney Barn - she excels at adding the personal touch. And for every guest that is going to be something different. There seems to be nothing that is beyond her notice - from subtle changes to the breakfast for my fiance to paying close attention to what you are saying and then surprising you with a lovely comment upon leaving.. Oh and chilling our wine without us even asking :) The Barn is great, the rooms are great, the breakfast is great and the location is fabulous! Ginny is the crowning glory. Try it.. You will not be disappointed! One thing to add, the Barn is located a short distance from Mevagissey, which is where it should be listed on tripadvisor.

Room Tip: Both the rooms we had were great. I don't think there is an issue in choosing a room.

Stayed here as part of our honeymoon travelling around Conrnwall and had a great time. A beautiful building, with a very nice room - crucially with a private entrance from the garden, which makes the place feel more like a quirky boutique hotel. We were very well looked after by Ginny and the breakfasts were bloody marvellous - I pigged out and had a full English each day and boy was it good! If we were ever in the area again...no, even if we are not in the area again, we would go out of our way to return. My only reservation about writing this is that I don't want it to get so busy we can't come back!

This is our second trip to Boslinney Barn, the first being our honeymoon last year. This year it was for my birthday and once again our stay was wonderful. From the beautiful house, gorgeously appointed room with the comfiest bed I have ever slept in (deep memory foam, so it was like sleeping on a supportive marshmallow!), brilliant power shower and a view to die for, we really did not want to leave. From the minute you arrive Ginny welcomes you like family, we had a clotted cream tea as soon as we had unpacked the car, with warm scones, pots of tea and oodles of jam. The setting is so peaceful you can feel all of your stress just drain away.

Breakfast is fantastic and really sets you up for the day. Ginny is a mine of information about everything that there is to see and do in the area and is always happy to help.

I really cannot fault Boslinney Barn in any way and cannot wait to go back again.

Room Tip: The bed from green room overlooks the garden, but to be honest all of the rooms are lovely!!
