Stayed in a Grand Pool Villa for 10 nights. Welcomed back with a bottle of French wine, cake, and Welcome Back lettering on the villa door.
In the same villa (as requested) that we've had for each of our 3 stays there.
Malisa have maintained their standards of service, accomodation, facilties etc.
Some things have even improved such as wooden basins replaced by ceramic bowls, free mini bar selection changed with better selections, decking and boardwalks replaced.
Free laptop borrowing continues as well as a Mac mini is in the bedroom.
Breakfast is excellent.
The pool was kept spotless by daily cleaning.
There were some minor works happning around the villa such as painting and sanding and the villa next door sounded like the decking may have been getting replaced. The noise was minimal and didn't bother us whatsoever.
We pre-arranged pickup with Malisa and this was faultless and the driver even went out of his way to drive us to a minimart and money changer on our request- that was open (due to our late eveing arrival). We pre-arranged our private driver of 3 years to collect us for outings and when we departed.
Staff are very pleasant and efficient and they have good staff retention with many familiar faces still there.
One night we were in the Soi just outside Malisa. Torrential rain came down and persisted. It was too heavy to attempt the short walk back. The restaurant staff rang Malisa and they came down in Malisa's mini car and picked us up and drove us to our villa.
Looking forward to our next stay at Malisa.

Arrived on the 1st day and was told that our rooms weren't ready yet and we had to wait for 2 hours. They were doing some renovations and it was noisy. The breakfast that came with the room was horrible and the orders they took were always wrong. The room looked like it needed some renovation. Apart from the order taking and noise, the location was great. It was close to the beach, 10min walk, massage parlours and close to Lucky Tom's Thai restaurant that serves great Thai food.

This is a beautiful property set back from the main road, with friendly service and great villas. A major let down was that for 3 days of our 5 days a couple of the villas were very noisy, with children screaming and jumping in the pool at all hours - something to note as from the marketing material and room sizes (and price!) we thought there wouldn't be many children here. Also the bed was like sleeping on the floor- very solid and completely uncomfortable. To be fair they (housekeeping) did add a pillow top to the mattress, but this made no difference and we slept very poorly during our stay.
