My sister and I stayed for 12 days delightful days, the staff were extremely helpful, the resort was a paradise which could have been miles from anywhere once you entered from the street . We did not have any problems with mosquitos , we used bushmans insect repellant and never got one bite. It never seemed crowded. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making us feel so welcome

What can i say i just love this place. It makes you feel like you are staying in the jungles in an area which is very plain. The pool and the bar are fun , fun ,fun. The rooms have more then enough room and there is fresh fruit and water every day. now there is one problem with this place and that is those dame mosquitoes however the staff do everything possible to get rid off them. the breakfast is very good with a large selection. the staff were very professional. not sure why others didn't like it because everyone we talked to loved it.

Room tip: there is a small restaurant next door called fried rice. the food here is fantastic and is unreal for value.

If you've been to Phuket, you know it's very touristy - to the point where it's hard to walk down the street without being harassed for a massage or to get a suit made or for a taxi, etc. Swawasdee Village is a refuge from all that, and the grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and makes you feel like you're in the Thailand that used to be. The staff are extremely accomodating, speak english very well, and are always friendly. The housekeeping staff is particularly excellent. One small example: I got in to the shower and turned the knob, and noticed that housekeeping had thoughtfully turned the showerhead towards the wall so I wouldn't get a face full of cold water! Little details like that are what separate the good from the excellent. If I return to Phuket, this is where I'm staying.

After visiting Thailand and staying in many amazing beachside hotel locations with amazing views for less money that what the Sawasdee charges, I have to give it a 3 star review, rather than the 5 star rating I gave the others. The Sawasdee is a fine hotel, it has fun Thai decor, the rooms are clean, the pool is fun, the staff is nice. But it is NOT located on the beach, or anywhere near a beach view, and the rooms are a little dated (but again, clean and just fine to stay in); that said the price tag is just too much at this hotel when compared to other hotels across Phuket with amazing views and locations (and some that are brand new and very modern / stylish). I'd stay here again if the room price went down considerably below $100 USD, which is what you should be able to pay in lower season for an amazing room seaside across Thailand.

You can walk to Kata beach from Sawasdee Village - it's about a 10 minute walk at a slow pace, and the beach is beautiful.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days, the location of the hotel is located close to the KATA beach.
hotel entrance was not too big but it looks beautiful, the process begins with a check-in clerk who was greeted with a friendly and while waiting we get a complementary 2 cups orange juice., when the check-in process is complete and we headed to our hotel room, i can feel the atmosphere of the hotel atmosphere very comfortable and very natural, and although the hotel room was not very big but very comfortable, all the hotel staff serve with smile and greet us. Breakfast was also very good with a delicious menu. I do not need to say much, this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed, 100% recommended
