We didn't attend the cooking course but managed to spot this place after dinner on our first night. We ended up eating here on four occasions and stopping past every afternoon for a few cocktails.

Absolutely fantastic place, great people, great service and great food, all of which is really well priced.

we also used the guys to take us back to the airport. 800 baht flat fee but I would rather pay these guys that with a tip, then pay the Taxi Sharks of Phuket 1000 odd baht.

We look forward to seeing them again when we get back to Phuket...hopefully sooner rather than later.

Tip: Don't eat before you go! 4 delicious recipes will fill you up as you get to watch, learn, then cook yourself & enjoy as soon as you finish each course. Relaxed & friendly setting, with plenty of beverages & doesn't feel rushed when cooking/eating. Tour of the local market was also excellent to see & smell all of the fresh produce used in Thai cooking! Thank you Shell & staff for a great day!! We will be back!

We booked to attend the cooking class with Kitchen Kata along with other tourists, with the added benefit that they pulled out and we had a one-on-one cooking experience with the teacher, Chel.

Chel was attentive, spoke very good/clear English, explained everything from the types of meals through to the individual ingredients. She was a great teacher!

We chose menu option #3, but she allowed us to alter the foods we cooked - which was great! We kicked off cooking sticky rice for our dessert option (Mango with Sticky Rice); then proceeded to make Tom Yum Goong (and a variety of other Thai soups), Larb Gai, and Green Curry with Chicken. Chel shows us how and what to do for each dish, then allowed us time to prepare and cook the meals ourselves. What an experience!

The whole afternoon was such a great experience, we've already recommended friends do it when they visit next month. Lots of fun - with the end result being good food you can eat that you made yourself.

Lovely food, very reasonable and great atmosphere. We ate here for lunch and my daughter loved it so much she begged to go back for dinner! We then went there for dinner again on another night. Loved it!

Have just spent two weeks at kata beach in the Palmery hotel just 5 mins up the road from here. My wife and I decided to give the Kitchen a try after reading reviews and after passing one afternoon, glad we did the Kitchen was my first experience to Thai dishes and over the two weeks still the best I have had in Kata. The place does not look much from the outside but that appeals to me as it fits in nicely with its surroundings. The bar area is a great place to sit, drink and watch life go bye, the staff are all friendly and yes there seems to be a lot there like the other post stated but some are there on work experience. You can get a free run to where you need to go after being at the kitchen or if you want picked up and taken there just call them. You can also orginise tours and transfers in the bar. Over all a great place and I look forward to going back. Thanks guys x
