We were referred to Cafeopera by another traveller - the best advice on anything we were given in Phuket. After days of shabby, often rude service, average food and relatively overpriced food at every restaurant we visited, finding Cafeopera was like finding an oasis in the desert.
Service was excellent, live music excellent (lots of visiting musos would drop in and join the boys, sometimes also joined by talented patrons), atmosphere excellent, and the food was amongst the best we ate during the entire trip. We mostly stuck with the Thai menu, initially because of the price, and then because it was so good.
Location was not so easy for us to find. It is down a small road, almost opposite Kata Beach Resort. On the corner of the small road and the main beach road is Mama Cafe. Cafeopera is approx 100m down the small roadway from Mama.
