“If you're in Kata, you have to try it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2014

I read about Ska Bar in a travel guide and really wanted to try it. Loved it. Had a couple of lunches and dinner there. Huge range of choices on the menu, great quality food at very cheap prices and good service. I highly recomment chicken pad thai (200THB) and mango sticky rice (100THB). Located under a banyan tree at the southern end of Kata beach. A great place to relax with beautiful views of the beach and reggae music playing at the bar.

“Exceptional views and delicious food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2014

Situated at the southern end of Kata beach, Ska Bar is well worth a visit. Whilst I have only sampled the thai selection on the menu, the Ska bar caters for western tastes also. Outstanding som tum and larb gai. Cold beer, great cocktails - and if you catch the Ska on the right day or evening you may even hear some reggae tuneage like they used to rotate on repeat - Carl Meeks has was replaced by top 40 on my last visit - which did leave me jaded.

Lovely place to be to watch the sunset. It's located right at the beach, under a tree. Nice cold drinks and delicious food. Free wifi and friendly service too.

“Right on the beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

Ska bar is a little walk to the end of Kata beach and is snuggled into the cliff face amongst the rocks and vegetation. With Jamaican overtones and Bob Marly playing in the background. It's a very comfortable view and has good cheap food. I recommend this place for a relaxing drink, food and atmosphere. ~David
