This really is the nicest place to eat in Kata Beach for ambience, very peaceful, Go to top or next level down. Very romantic. the food is really good, and we though portions were very good despite what other reviewers say. the crab spring rolls are just amazing and the seafood coconut soup(sorry forgotten the Thai name..) was the best I had in Thailand. Make sure you get a seat on the street side(it's ok, you are high enough up not to be bothered...)

The food isn't as good as Kwong Shop Seafood down the road, but you get the ambience here. Bring your camera as you'll get some lovely holiday snaps...great statues and flowers as you go up steps to the top...

We loved being in this place - decor is great, service is wonderful, and it's quiet (compared to most of the street-level restaurants around). Our food was good - curry fried mussels were the best of the bunch. Would recommend for a change of place, but there are better kitchens around for the price.

Lovely restaurant, beautiful decor so after trekking for 3weeks in the north of Thailand we thought we would treat ourselves to a special Thai fish meal...... It just wasn't worth the money. The fried rice with crabmeat arrived almost cold and the shrimp and noodle casserole was dry and only had 6 shrimps!! We have eaten so much better in the night markets of Chang Mai and Chang Rai for a fraction of the cost.plus there was a 10%service charge.

Ate here as the setting within the bustling shanty style streets of kata was serene and impressive.

We each had two courses. To start we had the Tom yum gai, and the pork stuffed cucumber soup (with a name like that it had to be tried) followed by the green curry and baked baby clams in butter and garlic.

The Tom yum was delicious - full of flavours with a mild but present heat. Full of chicken and that was the small portion.

The cucumber soup was nice with the flavour of a pork consommé. It was lacked with veg and surprisingly al dente portions of cucumber that had been stuffed with mince pork. All in all a very pleasing dish!

The green curry was the best I have ever tasted in Thailand, and I don't say that lightly. It has always been my favourite dish and would surpass the likes of cabbages and condoms in Bangkok by a mile! Delicate flavours and subtle spices made a refreshing change from the mouth blowing offerings you normally get.

The clams were perfectly cooked although the garlic had been a little burned and the flavour had gone through the dish.

The bill including 2 beers and 2 waters came to under B1000.

Service was excellent although the staff had quite poor English. Not surprising as Kata is a Mecca for eastern and northern Europeans.

A must try next time your in Phuket - you will not be disappointed!

The place looks very lovely and inviting - but it is not. It is probably the least authentic restaurant in Kata Beach. The prices were extremely high, especially considering the poor quality of the food and the portion size.
