“The only elephant trek you want to do it Phuket!”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We opted for the 20 minute trek which was plenty and worth every cent. The elephants are very well treated and seemed happy. I expected to just sit on the seat the whole ride but the 'driver' told me to sit on the elephants neck for photos then i remained there for the rest of the trek. A little scary but so very fun!

“Wonderful Experience!”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

We booked directly & did the 50 minute trek, it was worth every cent that we paid! Fairly priced with complimentary pick-up from our resort in Kata Beach I really couldn't fault anything at all.
The trek was fantastic with went up on the hill overlooked the beaches, we started out by sitting on the seat however I ended up sitting on the neck of the elephant for the remainder of the trek which was just wonderful. Our guide also took tons of photos so we tipped him generously as he certainly did work for it!! We thought that the Elephants were all kept in fairly good conditions and loved that it was through the jungle so felt a little less touristy than other treks I researched before our departure.

“Wonderful experience!”

Overall a wonderful trek: 50 minutes of fun, 1000 Baht well spent.
At first you're seated on a chair, but they offer you the possibility to seat on the elephant's neck mid-way. They take pictures of you and let you drive the elephant if you're not too afraid to take command, but they're just next to you so you always feel really safe too.
(The Trek provided free transfer to and from hotel)

“Fabulous Elephant Experience”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

I found this company when doing some internet research and asked my hotel to contact them to book it for us. They sent a car to pick us up free of charge and took us up the hill overlooking Kata beach to their trekking centre.

The prices were far more reasonable than some of the other Elephant Trekking Tours which were advertised via our travel rep and we paid 1000THB (approx £20) each for an hour elephant trek. I am glad we booked the hour as it was a fantastic experience. We trekked through a jungle up a hill and stopped at the top to admire the view and take a few pictures.

Our guide dismounted and invited my husband to sit on the elephant while he took pictures and video of us coming back down the hill. Our elephant was very docile and obedient to the guide. I felt completely safe during this experience and would really recommend it to others. We gave our guide a tip which he appreciated.

Small tip – please make sure you use Insect Spray before going on this trip. We did not have many problems with biting insects during our time in Phuket but we did see a lot of mosquitoes in the elephant trekking due to the jungle climate so make sure you use good insect repellent.

“Great experience”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

I was a little bit uncertain about doing an elephant trek as I'd heard of some places where the elephants aren't treated well. However, after a bit of research we chose Kok Chang, and it was a really lovely experience. The elephants seemed to be well looked after and given lots of rest, and the guides seemed to be very gentle with them. While the guides didn't speak much English they were very obliging to take photos, so we got some great snaps. You have to book this place directly (as opposed to through one of the travel agents in town) so we kind of got the impression that this was a more "legit" operation, and would definitely recommend.
