I don't often write reviews, I normally leave that kind of thing to my husband but really loved this place so felt I needed to.
We went on valentines day, the setting is just amazing. The views are to die for, we sat overlooking the bay, so romantic.
From the moment we arrived till we left, we were really looked after, attentive and very smiley.
There was a pianist which also lovely and as it was valentines day, all the ladies were given a rise- nice touch!
Food was lovely too, unfortunately I wasn't as hungry as I normally am so didn't eat much but my husband ate enough for both of us. We paid £65 for two cocktails, two spirits and two course meals for both of us. Considering the quality of the food and lovely views and classy restaurant I thought it was very reasonable.
In addition they drove us back to our hotel for free(only 7 min drive, but still they didn't have to).
Highly recommended !!!!!!!

The whole experience - setting, staff, food - was fantastic. We ate here on 22 December and were so impressed we asked them for a Christmas day booking. they were very accommodating and squeezed us in and even gave us the same table as we had said we liked it so much. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
If you get the opportunity ask for a front line table overlooking the sea

Dinner at Mom Tri's (2nd time), remain very positively impressed. Very accomodating crew with me delaying my arrival time... when arrived (late!) beautiful table over the sea is ready. A very impressive menu, with both local and international dishes balanced well, and the local dishes with a subtle signature fusion twist.
Attentive yet unobtrusive service, awesome wine list, timely food arrival...and the location and view!!! what can I say, definitely a SCORE!!
Sad to go, hope to return again...
Can strongly recommend the Koh Pu cocktail, very tasty and it arrives inside your own carved out pineapple.
Only very minor gripe (if I really had to): the mango with the sticky rice was not sweet...
A three course meal plus desert for two, with very nice bottle of pinot grigio from kiwiland, coffee and a cocktail sets you back around $270

We had a very big expectation after reading the comments in tripadvisor but were disillusioned.
Everything was poor. The food, the service and the wine.
Only the price was high!!
We had two degustation Menus and a bottle of wine. The starter was served and the wine came after it. Poor...poor!

Dear Marcetannemarie

Thank you for choosing to dine at Mom Tri’s Kitchen. Please accept our apologies for your experience not meeting your expectations after having read all our excellent reviews on TripAdvisor.

Mom Tri’s Kitchen has 2 sommeliers and we are sorry that the wine was not served properly before the first course. We have addressed this directly with our restaurant team and sommeliers to ensure that our service staff does not make this error again.

The degustation menu offers 4-courses without wine for 1,650 THB and includes a tian made with rock lobster, a second course of ravioli with veal cheek a main course of wild sea bass with a cabernet wine jus followed by a dessert.. (The price with wine with each course, paired by our wine director is 3,350).

All the wines in our wine cellar are carefully selected by our wine director who has over 30 years experience and our wine cellar has won over eight Wine Spectators Award of Excellence. In Thailand there is a 300% and higher import tax on wine.

Your feedback has proved valuable for us and we do appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience and giving us the opportunity to consistently be to our high standard.

We visited this restaurant with our families after our wedding ceremony on the beach that afternoon. We had a large group and were impressed with the view from our table. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble - for example cold towels were requested and they split the bill between the various couples (5 ways). The massaman curry was divine and all dishes were presented beautifully. The cocktails were also very good. The only room for improvement would be the length of time to be served; however, as the restaurant is based over several floors, this delay was unsurprising.

They have the best location on Kata beach and I recommend visiting.
