Brilliant beds with duvets and proper pillows
Great for disabled people but not obtrusive
Lovely pool, terrace and a couple of friendly donkeys to amuse you sip a beer or three by the pool
Cracking breakfast consisting of freshly squeezed orange juice, english cereals, cheese, ham, fruit, breads, jams and a decent cup of tea.
Great advise on where to eat especially Bar Charcon which is not the prettiest place in the world but excellent food.

Next time we are coming back for a week

Julie & Sheelagh are wonderful hosts who spend time with their guests. They are excellent at making you feel comfortable and will make detailed suggestions about day visits to other towns in the area.

The rooms are spacious, brightly colored, and the shared sitting room, library, and bar area is large. It is fully handicap accessible facility, and has a wonderful pool. The TV in the sitting room area has at least a dozen english speaking satellite channels. The WIFI works everywhere on the property.

The area is agricultural with olives being the primary crop. It is a beautiful mountainous region full of flowers and olive trees. The house has a large terrace with wonderful views. We spent four peaceful evenings there enjoying some wine and reviewing the day.

Breakfast is provided each day. Dinner can be ordered in advance. Julie puts on her Chef's coat and prepares a great meal. Sheelagh performs the duties of waiter. It was very special.

Room Tip: There are four rooms and all are equal.

We had a 2 night stay here and wished we'd booked for longer.

Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, with plenty of storage room. Great showers in the wetroom. Towels are provided for in the room and by the pool.

We spent our first afternoon just relaxing by the pool, taking in the stunning views and watching birds - such a peaceful and gorgeous location. Despite the "out of the way" location, there is a surprising amount to do in the area. On our way in from Seville, we stopped at Fuente de Piedra lagoon to see flamingos & a host of other birds - highly recommended! As well as the big cities such as Granada and Cordoba, there are lots of interesting towns and villages within a shorter drive - Julie & Sheelagh will help with advice, maps and information.

If you choose to dine in, Julie's food is excellent with great service from Sheelagh. The dining/lounge/terrace area is a lovely hub to eat and chat to other guests. Dining out options will require a car, but the closest, El Charcon, is a 5/10 minute drive away and serves superb hearty food at great prices.

Loved our stay here, and hope to return one day. The house has a lovely relaxed atmosphere - not just because of its stunning location, but also because of the hosts.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are identical in layout

this is our second visit for valentines celebrations and we returned because we think its unbeatable for the following reasons; ´the location is stunning. the owners excell at giving excellent service in a friendly, welcoming style. the hotel is small but should have 5 stars. the heating is efficient through out the hotel, the rooms are exquisitally decorated but comfortable. The bed is huge and I slept for 9 hours (unheard of for me). Our evening meal was very special, perfectly cooked, served and with all the extras you would expect for valentine´s night and a few surprises.but the biggest surprise of all was the small bill. We will be booking early for valentine´s night next year.

We had a one night stay with an evening meal and breakfast.

The accommodation was large, comfortable and beautifully presented in a "modern Andalucian" style. The large bathroom was a wet room and the whole accommodation has wide doors for easy access.

The entire hotel has no steps, just slopes and ramps, and the proprietors have given a lot of thought to access generally but without any obvious compromises that might affect the stay of a fully enabled guest.

The evening meal was exceptional. Freshly made from local ingredients, beautifully prepared and cooked and presented in an imaginative, entertaining but understated way.

The location in an olive grove is calm and peaceful but with easy access to a decent road for trips to the local villages or further afield to the many historic sites of Andalucia.

We liked the food and the proprietors' company, friendly without being overbearing. The hotel accommodation and common parts were faultless and proper heating throughout ensured a comfortable stay regardless of the season.

We are used to a different bed mattress at home but this is only a personal gripe and most guests would not even consider it a problem.

Brazos Abiertos was everything we hoped it would be, the perfect spot for our relaxing holiday and yet only a few minutes from the main road to Iznajar and the town of Rute. Lots of great local bars including El Charcon just on the main road which has the most enormous open fire for colder nights, rustic food at its best. When we wanted to eat something more special we ate at Brazos Aiertos ,the girls offered fine dining or rustic food and it was all gorgeous and beautifully presented...the fire and ice dessert was exceptional. We chose to stay in winter to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this lovely area and we weren't disappointed. Spent many hours infront of the log burner with a glass of wine. Had a strollinto the village of La Celada which has an amazing shop whichsells everything, well worth a visit. Very fortunate to watch the olive picking and visit the local mill. Rooms were very spacious and very tasteful and fab wet rooms. One of the best features was the honesty bar which made us feel at home straight away. Do ask to look at the Olive pip boiler which provides all heating and hot water for the house, fascinating. can't recommend this little jewel enough..we will certainly be back, thanks for a great holiday.
